I've made the case before that both Camargo and Swanson need to get their strikeout rate below 20%. So far this season, one of them has done this.

At this point, there’s really no reason Camargo shouldn’t be playing every day

Yeah - Late bloomers are never the darling of fans. Recent data holds more weight in analysis. What he did in the minors in 2015 and before is essentially irrelevant at this point.

I love late-bloomers; but for now it’s still unclear if Camargo will bloom enough, with the bat, to be worth allotting 500-600 PA/year to him anywhere where he’s a plus-enough defender.

walk rate probably will come down a good bit...but as I've hinted at before I like Camargo a bit more as a hitter than Swanson.

Don't get me wrong - The ink is still wet on Camargos future. As I said this offseason the only thing Camargo has done is earn the opportunity to get a 500+ PA year. I think the power uptick is real so sticking him at third is a viable option. I think with enough regular reps Camargo becomes a 100-110 wRC+ hitter. With his defense that gets you to around 2.5-3 WAR and is a tremendous asset prior to arb2
