I think it's defensible for Fredi to pull the SP there in a vacuum. But in our specific situation (Chacin dealing, Peterson struggling, pen struggling), I would have stuck with Chacin. Borderline call though.

God this will be a long season. Pull a pitcher that is dealing and then use a slumping hitter as the pinch hitter. Maybe Fredi is trying to throw the game. Im sure his excuse will be something like he didn't want to overwork him this early in the year. Chachin is is on a one year contract. Use him up.

If no outs or one out makes more sense, but with two outs and our situation it doesn't for the reason you covered.
