GDT: NLCS Game 2 Braves vs Dodgers 10/13

I'm certain it was. Question now is, did he get the carbon out of his system or should we avoid him if possible.

I tend to think he'd be OK , but we have more scintillating options.

The more scintillating options are Wilson and Ynoa. I expect them to get a couple innings each in game 4.

I'd go with Jacob Webb or Grant Dayton at some point. I'm not really sure why neither is utilized often yet they're both really damn solid.

Need to save one of those two for a potential game five...unless you want Tomlin and his 85 mph heat getting a start.

I think if the plan was for Tomlin to start a game, he would not have been used last night. And after getting his teeth knocked in, I doubt he is used for anything other than mop up duty.

If he starts, no one is expecting him to go more than 3 or 4 innings. This appearance should not be a major factor.

Throw Matzek for 2IP, then Wilson or YNOA for 2-3?

Give Tyler the day off today....

I don't think they'll start Tyler. Word was he has finally mentally gotten in a good place and he does not want to start again after the Yips. Seems silly for us, but for him I think they start Wilson or Ynoa and have tyler in second.

we have to. I know we have an insane number of arms, but we have two holes in our starting rotation. One of them should have pitched last night.

Everyone is going to have to pitch in game 4-5. Maybe in game 3.

Plus, those guys are good. You can't get them in vs the bottom of the lineup to try and steal 2-3 outs?

A huge portion of the game is mental as we've seen. If that's what makes him comfortable, no reason to put him in a spot he won't succeed in. Plus he's been killing it in his current role.

Lololololol he’s a lucky bullpen pitcher per my mom’s MLB extra innings package that she is pirating from my neighbor (Who is also my 2nd stepdad)

I play chess. I’m an athlete.

Edit: I will be posting my analysis analyzing how this guy is completely wrong and idiotic through my analysis soon.

O'Day is on this roster to pitch medium leverage innings vs RHH.

Minter is on the roster to face LHH in situations where Matzek and/or Smith are unavailable or in lesser leverage spots.

Tomlin is on the roster to pitch low leverage and/or bulk innings as required.

That is exactly how Snit used each of them last night, and he did it in an effort to save some of the bigger arms in the BP. The results were not pretty because the Dodgers are an amazing team, and they are going to do amazing things. Anyone complaining about Snit's BP usage last night is being nothing more than a typical silly fan.

They're down 2-0 now. Can't be pre-planning for WS while you on the ropes now

I mean he's their best pitcher. There's likely a decent chance he could pitch later in the series if needed. You don't want to risk not having your best pitcher this round or the next round over a minor injury. Anyone you're calling up to replace Kershaw is the new last man on the staff, meaning he likely won't see the light of day unless it's an emergency anyways. We've gone to our pen quite a bit and we've yet to see the likes of Webb, Wilson, or Ynoa.

Well, it was based on the premise he won't pitch this series. Obviously if they feel he might can, that changes things. As bad as Webb, Wilson, and ynoa can be, I'll take any of them over soroka (injured) this series.

Even if he can't, the pitcher replacing him is the Jacob Webb of their staff. He won't see any work unless it's a blowout or an extra inning emergency.

Just to be certain, there's no chance Hamels could be available if we made it to the WS correct?

NVM, I answered my own question on a second look.
