GDT: Red Sox @ Braves 9/5

I mentioned adversity after the Rockies four game sweep just weeks ago. Braves bounced back well from that. Well, here’s adversity again. You want to win a championship? You have to work through that at times. It shows what you’re made of. Braves, it’s time to show it again.
 
This was a back breaking loss. Our four best relievers all turned in terrible performances today.

Can we PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE fire Chuck Hernandez?

Braves and dbacks enter this series not playing well and desperately needing wins. If one wins series 3-1/4-0, the other is done imo.
 
I think we’ll win the division, but that’s kinda like winning a foot race with Brian McCann, Sid Bream, and Adam LaRoche. We’re not gonna be competitive with the big boys.

When do we play the Marlins again?
 
1. Why was Folty not allowed to pitch the 7th inning with a manageable pitch count?
2. Why was RF allowed to play 1B?
3. Why was Biddle not given another inning or pushed backed to the 8th inning after Folty worked the 7th?
4. Why was Duvall put in RF?
5. Why was RF allowed to play 1B?
6. Why was Markakis taken out and the bench basically emptied against the best team in baseball that was trying their best to let you win one game?!?
7. Why was RF allowed to play 1B?

Snitkers is an idiot and this young team just suffered a backbreaker! Absolutely no way they recover from this! This is as bad as the Falcons choking in the Super Bowl, remember this game and the freezing Cubs debacle when we are sitting at home during the playoffs!!

I was saving my juju to help miss state beat auburn in football, but unfortunately, I have to use it now... I've put a hex on the Phillies tonight. We'll maintain 3 game lead

42-21 against the NL East. 34-42 against the rest of baseball.
26-9 against the Mets and Marlins. 50-54 against the rest of baseball.

They've ridden a bad division to the position they're in now. Give them credit for being much further along than we thought they would be but the writing is on the wall for September. We don't stack up against good teams.

The one that I'm going to wonder about the most is going to be...sure, at 7-1 that seems in hand, but at the same time, it's speculated that Acuna is switching to RF. Why not go with the guy that might very well be in right next season if you want to give Markakis a breather?

Duvall has gained a poor rep, but he really is a pretty good defender, in LF. In RF he has little experience and in the sample size before that, it wasn't good. It might not have mattered, but I think Acuna makes 2 out of the 3 plays. Markakis makes 1 of them.

Biddle has some stones, I think if Folty goes another and he finishes, we're not even talking about all of the defensive stuff.

Can we please just go ahead and release Adam Duvall? He's been an unmitigated disaster. It's had to believe that in spite of not getting a ton of playing time he's likely already cost us 2 games.

But we can be competitive with just about everyone in the NL though.
 
New faces, same ****ty results when it matters.

If they manage to crawl into the postseason because the phillies play even worse, it will be an embarrassing exit.

Todays "production" from our pen isn't the norm. I think we can beat any team in the NL when Folty starts. NL as a whole is very meh right now. The 3 best teams are in the AL which is to any teams advantage in the NL.

I was told this division wasn’t that weak a few weeks back.
