Global Events & Politics Überthread

I blame the Bush43 administration.

However
The Trump etal briefed the incoming team and brought them up to speed on the
status of Afghanistan during the transition no doubt.
In that light yes, blame Biden

And then the Biden regime determined to not follow trumps plan. How’s that working out?

Trump's plan ?

Yes the plan formulated under the trump administration. The one Biden refused to follow by delaying the withdrawal date and not doing it conditions based.

It was a cowardly retreat in the middle of the night while we left our own citizens out to dry.

It doesn’t even matter if you don’t see it. The majority of the nation sees it and your progressive poison candidates will suffer the consequences.

No matter which POTUS oversaw the exit it was going to be messy.
And said over a week ago had it been Trump in office I would have withheld judgement as well.
Just like I did when he made the deals with the Taliban or his exit from Syria.
(something something foreign entanglements)

merely
Pointing out -------------------- reminding something that happened

For the record if you will remember 8-9 months ago Trump instructed
his administration to not cooperate and withhold information during transition.

Like I said whoever was in office this was going to be what an exit looked like

Biggest Trojan horse in recent memory about to be unleashed on the United States.

10-20% is a real number and they will come to do us harm.

The same people who told us the Iraq War would last 6 months and the Afghan army

could be trained to defend the country are trying to make Americans believe that the U.S.

could prevent panic after the overnight collapse of the Afghan military and government.

This is actually completely untrue.

Those same people are saying we should have never left in the first place. The ones that have completely turned on the endless wars are the ones criticizing how we left. But we have already discussed the myriad of ways the Biden regime bungled this but you don't want to know anything about that. Just listen to poison Joy Reid.

You literally never have any clue what you are talking about and just parrot the talking points of the progressive's. They know you'll be dumb enough to buy it.

So again - We are in a position where our 'President' told the country we killed terrorist planners.

The truth ends up being they killed a family with children.

Let's ignore that Psaki said one day that calling Americans strandad was misleading and now she admits there will be citizens left behind.

You can't makeup how criminal this regime has been. THey need to be removed immediately.

WE need the audits to progress so we can put Trump back into office rightfully.

North Korea is now restarting their nuclear power program.

The bad guys in the world know that the US is a mess and can't do anything to combat aggressions.

This is going to get real bad.

The water carrying for Biden is a bit silly. There's no way you can look at what has happened there and think that Biden's nearly 8 months of working on this was a success. It's an unmitigated disaster. Are there other people who deserve blame? Sure. Every President since Bush 43 deserves blame. You can probably go even farther back than that. But the fact that other Presidents contributed to the situation doesn't excuse how utterly inept Biden has been in the handling of this. There are very specific mistakes Biden made that can be pointed out.

They KNEW that a terrorist attack was imminent and they left our soldiers at the front gate completely unprotected.

That right there should be court marshall material.

Silly is a much friendlier term than I'd use for it my man. Otherwise, spot on.

Knowing Jim Crow Joe he let the generals plan/coordinate the withdrawl. The same generals who didnt want to leave in the first place..... maybe they wanted something to pull us back in. I doubt you will ever find any post golf mine criticizing Trump for his move towards ending our wars. I might have laughed at his bungled withdrawl in syria but that ls why we never leave, no politician wants the heat for what happened afterwards. The Taliban are the legitimate government. I understand some people over there dont like living under their laws. Tough ****. I dont like the laws other people make here either.

America's Greatest Existential Threat Wasn't Terrorism (ignorance?) by Frank Rich

Trump knew what he was doing when he peddled a demonstrably fictional sighting of Muslim Americans in New Jersey cheering the fall of the Twin Towers — even as he tastelessly bragged, with equal falsity, that he had “spent a lot of time” with first responders at ground zero and that his building at 40 Wall Street was by default New York’s tallest thanks to the towers going down.

In the aftermath of our one term (so far) of Trump, it’s hard not to be gripped by what seems in retrospect our most self-destructive blind spot of 20 years ago. Much as we ignored the blinking red lights of an imminent Al Qaeda attack before 9/11, so we refused to recognize that domestic terrorism remained a looming threat the morning after. Timothy McVeigh’s bombing of a federal building in Oklahoma City had taken place only six years earlier. A considerable network of highly armed fanatics — the neo-Nazis, conspiracy theorists, and white supremacists who were his fellow travelers — was waiting in the wings as Al Qaeda commanded center stage. Starting with his post-inauguration Muslim ban, Trump gave these terrorists the high sign to come out of hiding once he was in the White House. But Charlottesville notwithstanding, it wasn’t until January 6, 2021, that many Americans paid serious attention. There was no getting around the fact that the MAGA insurrectionists came closer than the thwarted terrorists on United Flight 93 to realizing Al Qaeda’s apparent 9/11 goal of maiming either the U.S. Capitol or the White House.

If the sentimental bromides Americans told each other in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 were true, we would Never Forget what happened on 1/6. But if we’ve learned anything over these 20 years, it’s that we Always Forget and we don’t have a clue about what terror will strike our country next.

Don't know about you but I hate it when Douthat and I agree

Small wonder, then, that making Biden the singular scapegoat seems

like a more attractive path. But if the only aspect of this catastrophe that

our leaders remember is what went wrong in August 2021, then we’ll have

learned nothing except to always double down on failure,

and the next disaster will be worse.

in this mornings NYT worth the read

Biden was always going to be bused to wrap all the progressive failures around

America ain’t stupid. We are going tog rush your color revolution.

Still relevant today. I suggest people go take a look at the crimes numbers in Sweden specifically from the Afghan population.

Also want people to know we couldnt vet people when we had control of Afghanistan. Research the green on blue attacks.

Taking just one Afghan into the United States is a MASSIVE mistake befit of course the global aristocracy will push it through since their goal is to destroy America.

I don't think the Sweden comparison is relevant here. That was a group seeking to escape illegally, no different than illegal immigration to this country. The Afghan allies have proven themselves and tried to fix where they were instead of going elsewhere. I do think everyone should be vetted before leaving military bases, but this seems like the type of people we should want to import. Goodness knows our gene pool seems to be getting weak and could use an infusion.

Majority of our casualties the past few years were green on blue. One incident were the traitor had direct access to general level personal.

These are people we claimed were super vetted.

We accept these afghans now we will pay for it later.

That is just the absolute worst analogy, because there is no humanitarian need to eat Skittles. We didn’t bomb the Skittles for the past 10 years and put Skittles in a position to be killed by other Skittles based on the actions they took during our occupation of the Skittles factory. Also, Skittles aren’t human ****ing beings.
