Trump had to worry about reelection. The media pressure would have forced him to act in a first term but in a second term he would have had no real reason to do anything. And as you can clearly see his not acting wild have gone over well with MAGA.
 
There is no such thing as neutral for Ukraine. Russia has and will own Ukraine if they were "neutral". And there are Chinese in Mexico. They are highly involved in the drug trade.

Not expecting a tyrant with a thirst for a long lasting legacy to make a surprising move when you are continuing to encroach on neutral ground is childish.

These are the things you need to think about when moving forward with something like that.

These borders are completely arbitrary and a good chunk of the areas that he wants are effectively satellites of Russia as is.

Its not pretty but he has a bit more leverage at this point because of stupid policies.



Has Denmark influenced Greenland domestic policies to be adversarial to the US? It sucks that we have to deal with tyrants that do tyrant things. The idea is to stop the senseless killing and then restructure to remove leverage for the future.

I mean it's the logical thing. I walked over to my neighbor's house, started punching him in his face and said I would stop doing it if he gave me his back yard. ****ing tyrant declared war by calling the cops.
