If Trump had won in 2020, there is zero chance Putin feels brave enough to make that move. Because with Trump as POTUS, the shit show that was the Afghanistan withdrawal never happens. It was blood in the water. Putin saw that our leadership (and by association, the UN) were weak and knew that no one had the balls to do shit about it if he decided to invade Ukraine. I mean do you really think Putin woke up one day and said "You know what, I feel like invading Ukraine today." This has been something he has been planning for years, and needed the opportune moment to make it happen. And then shortly after that, we have the Israeli/Palestinian War.

It's almost like, when the world's largest military power looks weak, it emboldens other military groups with agendas to take action. Surely there isn't thousands of years worth of historical precedence to back that up........

And no, sending 66.5 billion hasn't stopped the "good guys" from losing to the "bad guys." Russia currently controls about 20% of Ukraine. So they have lost a significant amount as it is.

Also, there also aren't any "good guys" here.
