Iraq isn’t able to launch a missile and strike US citizens within 30m.

I realize form your posting history that protecting US citizens isn’t a priority for you, but it is for most and most definitely the president that gave you a 22% decrease in homicide rate.

But yes totally the same bro
IDK why every nuanced, complicated issue needs to boiled down to these narrow, boring, false choices.

People are allowed to be happy that Maduro is removed from power and set to face trial while also being concerned with the Constitutionality of the act and worrying about what comes next.

This country has a history of being great at the removal part and not so great at the "what comes next" part.

With Muslim nations I agree. We are terrible at it because it’s simply not possible. I’m aware you don’t think this is of significance though. Judge everyone individually and all.

People are going to be screaming forever while everyday people feel gas prices go down and their wages go up. All the while crime on the streets lessens - housing is cheaper - emergency rooms aren’t packed - kids have classss with only English spoken.

It’s going to be fun to watch.

But two years before the Monroe Doctrine was enunciated, Secretary Adams said of our nation:

“Wherever the standard of freedom and independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be. But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.”

Many presidents, and most recent ones, have rightly disagreed. The current one, who also disagrees, speaks so often and so imprecisely, as in his meandering babble late Saturday morning, a cloud of confusion envelopes everything. Dissipating it can begin with this:

That Nicolás Maduro is a monster is patent, as was the illegitimacy of his government, which disdained respect for the consent of the governed. But the urgent argument begins, not ends, with those two facts.

...

Narcotics trafficking is a serious crime. It is not a terrorist activity. Neither is the self-“poisoning” of Americans who ingest drugs.

So, the administration must improvise post facto rationalizations for the forcible regime change in Venezuela, rationalizations harmonious with the president’s recent pardoning of Juan Orlando Hernández, the former Honduran president convicted in a U.S. court of shipping here more than 400 tons of cocaine. “The Honduran regime,” McCarthy writes in National Review, “figures prominently in the indictment of Maduro brought by the first Trump administration.” Maduro’s lawyers will have fun with this.

And perhaps with this: When Theodore Roosevelt asked Attorney General Philander Knox to concoct a legal justification for the unsavory U.S. measures that enabled construction of the Panama Canal, Knox replied, “Oh, Mr. President, do not let so great an achievement suffer from any taint of legality.”

I mean we know you're not principled, the second the Orange diaper says anything whatever principles you have go out the window as you shower yourself in his verbal diarrhea
Well we certainly know China will be principled and play by the rules. We should have waited for Congress while the ccp/russia/hezbollah just cements their positions a stone throes away from us.

Leftist and libertarian global ideology is that of a child.

A better world would be one where we leave Maduro and his cronies alone and then allow the ccp to get the oil and resources? Is that your argument? If not, what exactly is your position?

Yeah, if we’re not careful monsters are going to go around murdering people in the seas and bombing cities.
Yeah in the world of monsters you have to be a monster or else you’ll get ran over.

You guys simply just don’t get it and it’s hysterical to watch.

We could go the Obama route and be nice to places/people like Iran. How’d that honestly?

Morons.

Then nobody else is actually a monster. We have been doing this non-stop since the end of WW2, so any monsters we encounter must be in response to us being a monster, no?

They can think whatever they want. They still owe us for not speaking German

This is all nonsense. We are just - look at how people are treated in this country. Your false logic has no impact.

The ccp are not the good guys or “just as bad as us” guys.
