I may be late on this but President Bukele is playing a dangerous game. I think he has done a good job in a near impossible situation in El Salvadore but the path he is on may end with him in a prison cell. El Salvadore doesnt have the military power to protect him from the international court. I dont think he would be prosecuted by the US once we have a non-felon President but all bets are off if he ever leaves office.


And to answer "for what"........ human trafficking. Forced Slavery. He is not a US government official and has no immunity from prosecution. He has diplomatic immunity but that only helps him in office.
 
I will say its a good deal but I dont see what holds Ukraine to it once Trump is gone considering we reneged on our promise to defend them if they gave up nukes.
