Mexico's former President is said to have taken a 100 million dollar bribe from Chapo. Also that they paid the military 12 million to kill rival cartel leaders.

RIP John Bogle. He transformed how Americans invest and created a corporate culture that really puts the customer first.

Yeah but he was rich so we must hate him

Some rich people are good. Some are bad.

Some poor people are good. Some are bad.

I would venture if someone ever did a rigorous study of wealth and moral character that they would find virtually no correlation.

Anyhow, Bogle seems to have been a good man in addition to a great innovator.

For the livelihood of the Venezuelan people I certainly hope so.

It would be a great thing for the Hemisphere if Venezuela returned to prominence.

I think the people would settle for bread and toilet paper

I think with a proper government in charge Venezuela will stabilize within 5 years. Hopefully the power vacuum that develops with the regime change doesn't give rise to more crime in the short term.

It is crazy that Venezuela was actual a model that manymleftists wanted us to follow.

We will never learn from the failures of socialism

Its never the system Sturg. Its always been implemented poorly.

One of these days though...it'll work. TRUST US!!!

Hugo Chavez promised not to devalue the bolivar or to enact price controls when he was first elected. He was elected based on waging war on corruption and poverty. It never fails. When the government wages war on a social issue it almost always gets 10 times worse. Yet we never learn. One of the few successes was lowering the use of cigarettes.

hugo done good draining the swamp

It’s great that in the sturg worldview, the only country with socialist policies is a undiversified petrostate with a half-century of very unstable democracy under its belt.
