Disgusting - If Hamas didn't hide behind their people none of them would get killed.
IDF doesn't go into their strategy targeting civilians in fact its quite hte opposite. Almost all their missions include how to minimize civilian casualties or else it would be much easier to deal with the cockroaches that are groups like Hamas.
On the contrary, groups like Hamas TRY TO KILL CIVILIANS>
Just keep twisting yourself into a pretzel hiding your obvious hatred towards Jews and your pathetic allegiance to the Global Left.
Look man, there are absolutely people out there claiming Israel is as bad as Hamas, but that’s not my intent here. What I’m saying is Israel should be judged on how effective they are at minimizing civilian casualties. Hamas might be using human shields, but Israel is still accountable if too many of those human shields are killed.
And you've yet to address the fact that Hamas is purposefully using their people as human shields.
What you want is either for Israel to not respond or put their troops in deadly danger by going door to door in an enclosed space littered with gun boxes and a sympathetic people that want the Jews dead.
You consistently don't live in the real world.
I’m very happy to condemn Hamas. **** them, I hope anybody that was involved in the horrific acts they’ve committed receives the punishment they deserve.
This doesn’t change my mind that Israel should be held to a higher standard than terrorists and be evaluated on how well they minimized civilian casualties. It’s admittedly a bit more complicated due to Israel having mandatory military service, but I think the overall number of casualties are still likely to be lower if they did less air bombing. Is it your belief that it is better for 100 Palestinian civilians to die than say 10 Israeli soldiers? What would be the acceptable threshold here?
No the acceptable thing is for the Palestinians to not elect terrorists and pretend like they are outraged when Israel bombs the zones.
How can you say with a straight face that Palestinians don’t have a right to be outraged when their children are killed in air strikes? Also, you keep bringing up that Hamas is elected, but after nearly 20 years of authoritarian rule, is there really a choice? It’s like blaming Russians for re-electing Putin.
Poor Palestinians didn't know they were electing terrorists.
Poor Palestinians didn't know they were electing terrorists.
44% of Palestinians in 2006 voted for terrorists. This doesn’t make the populace morally responsible for the actions of Hamas in 2023.
As I stated earlier they can't accept radical Islam is the problem here.
Kind of does - Those 44% didn't realize they were voting for Terrorists? The rest of the country couldn't actively discourage that action?
Ultimately democracy prevailed and the people wanted radical maniacs running them. Don't cry poor baby when the roosters come home to roost.
But some of the people dying are literal babies and children. Did they vote for Hamas too?
Of course not, but you keep saying what Israel shouldn’t do by saying in vague terms what they should do.
There is no “rounding up the perps”. Hamas is by far the most popular group in Gaza and WB (way more popular than the more moderate Fatah).
Realistically the only path to minimizing civilian casualties is for Egypt to accept refugees from Gaza, which they won’t because they hate Hamas as much as anyone.
