I was going to write this in the Mayweather/Pacquiao thread but forgot so I'll just write it here.

There's some irony to the fact that Pacquiao and Tiger's game respectively has dropped in the last few years. When Pacquiao was cheating on his wife, drinking, gambling, etc. he was destroying every opponent in the ring. It's only in the last 2-3 years when he became a converted Born-Again Christian that he started slowing down and dominating less.

The same for Tiger. When he was cheating on his wife with 50 mistresses, guy was winning tournaments and winning majors. After he got caught, had to deal with the stress of the public image, etc. his game dropped off. He's seemed to hit a huge mental block since then on the golf course, not converting shots he was sinking with ease years ago.

Now I'm not endorsing they gotback to those lifestyles, Tiger probably can since he "broke-up" with Lindsay, but both athletes had a certain edge to them. Guys like them who are in physical peak shape in their respective sports must have testosterone through the roof. Even some of the media darlings who we perceive as good guys like Steve Nash have been caught cheating on their wives too.

Pac Man is past his prime and has slowed down.

Tiger is off the juice.

That explains it better than their sex lives.

Juice has nothing to do with Tiger not sinking makable puts he used to hit without blinking in his prime.

And again, Mayweather is 38, he's a pretty big asshole still has the same mental edge he had 6 years ago.
 
And giles it's more than sex life per say, but more about the arrogance of being a premier athlete and going to every town and sleeping with a different woman. Pacquaio absolutely slowed down in the ring once his wife caught him and threatened divorce. Tiger is still as muscular as he was in 2008 before the scandal.

You can pretty much go in every sport and see top athletes and find stories about their sex lives everywhere. Federer is one of the few handful of athletes whom I haven't read anything about him doing such. LeBron may be another.

Enjoyed seeing Ricky pull it off this past weekend. Played some bad A golf to get it done. He will win at Augusta if Speith doesn't dominate the next 10 years.

Accusing someone of steroids is a blanket hateraid comment. Short of someone getting busted, or ballooning comically (think Bonds/Soso/McGwire) you don't have evidence of that. I think Tiger had injury issues. I think that's the biggest issue. It's lead to his mental issues as well.

How do you know steroids is the reason Tiger doesn't put down the same 8 foot putts he used to do before? Steroids only enabled Tiger to hit the ball farther, they didn't allow him to hit the ball accurately.

And for Pacquiao his personal life is scrutinized much more than most athletes. One he's an actual Congressman. Two he has aspirations for the Philippine Presidency once he retires. Catholicism is much much more conservative than here in the US. Pacquiao's overall demeanor has changed in the last 3-4 years. Pacquiao is as big and idolized in the Philippines as someone like President Obama is here (whether or not you like Obama, he's a pretty pop-culture savvy guy).

Wasn't Mike Tyson sleeping with hundreds of women when he was reigning champ?

Do you follow golf?

-Tiger was suspended for 1 month for PED use. (the tour denied it like they denied Dustin Johnson was suspended for coke). The tour tries to hide this, but others in the know have stated it.

-Tiger paid 195k to Anthony Galea.

-Tigers was on the Biogenesis list.

Steriods also gives confidence, which is enormous in golf so it's not just being able to hit the ball further. PEDS also allow you to heal better so that toll of a PGA Tour season isn't felt as badly as without.

The person who publicly said that retracted his statement because it was hearsay with no evidence.

Tiger was also young when he was dominating. Is McIlroy on steroids? He doesn't seem to be feeling the sting of the PGA tour season too bad.
 
It is believed in golf circles Tiger was on roids for a good while. It doesn't pass the eye test either if you follow closely enough. Golfers don't want to get as ripped as he was as it can impede movement needed.

I think he was on roids, and his training with the roids wrecked his body and that he is now paying for it.

Arnold Palmer was pretty ripped for a golfer in his prime for his time. Suppose he juiced too.

There are some reports that McIIroy is on the juice, but I don't think anything has been linked to him like Tiger.

It depends, if you focus on the right area, core/back/legs-which Tiger did; it can absolutely benefit you.
