Any Texans here? Hurricane is moving 2MPH.

A Texas mayor is reportedly advising his residents who are not evacuating before Hurricane Harvey sweeps the state's coastline to write identifying information on their bodies.

Rockport Mayor Pro Tempore Patrick Rios said Friday, ahead of the massive hurricane's expected landfall, that residents should either evacuate or make sure their remains can be identified.

"We’re suggesting if people are going to stay here, mark their arm with a Sharpie pen with their name and Social Security number," Rios said at a morning press conference, as reported by ABC News.

50 is at the high end of the forecasts from a few days ago...people either didn't believe it or didn't realize what all that water means

i guess texas will hold off on their seceding talk for a little while while the awful federal gov't comes to help them

That's no longer an issue given that the black and Dem president who was trying to orchestrate the invasion is gone. Thanks to Alex Jones, who spread the word tirelessly about Operation Jade Helm, Texas will remain in the Union.

Price gouging by Texas merchants in the path of Hurricane Harvey has drawn the attention of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who said Saturday that his office is looking into such cases.

“We’ve already found one big retailer that was charging $42 for a case of water,” Paxton told Fox & Friends. “Another, a gas station $99 for a case of water.”

"We’ll be dealing with those people as we find them,” he said.

Never ceases to amaze me how dumb people are. Price gouging is good and is helpful to people in times of crisis.

The $42 was from Home Depot and it was for a case of water that was meant for individual retail in their little fridges at checkout. So not really price gouging but just shows you how dumb it is to buy those waters when you are checking out.

Price gouging is necessary and helpful. Otherwise, most people can't get access to what they need

well if your going to take our money at gun point excuse us for asking for a little bit of it back in a time of need. Might have to hold off the bombing in the middle East for a day or two to pay for it but that's a risk I am willing to take.

I think there can probably be a healthy balance between keeping it at regular price and charging $99 for a ****ing pack of bottled water.

I am no hurricane expert bit isn't it very unusual for it to be moving so slowly? Also hearing it's moving back towards the gulf and then it's going to come back. I don't recall a hurricane moving like that. Local radio is hyping it like crazy. Said it was a once in a thousand year storm. Supposed to hit again later this week. Sure hope there's some time for the water to drain between them and now. Got about a foot of water. My home is off the ground so if I flood the whole area is going to be a water park. Radio just said we could get a years worth of rain in this 5-6 day period.

starting to think I did not prepare enough for this. I only have about a fourth of an ounce of weed left.

I think that's probably a good call. Do you know anyone who delivers?
