Not only they voted for him because he is black, but they thought he would do something, but the opposite happen. You whites are happy with this, why bother to defend him. "People" need to learn that there is very little a President can do or will be allowed to do to help them. The problems are systemic and they are everywhere. The President's reach is very limited.

Local and state government are the pressure points where they should be focusing all their attention.

Clearly I'm a little frustrated with, the more I read of it, the Black community's criticisms of Obama. I think they are expecting too much from him and placing their energies in the wrong place. While I have empathy with their centuries old general frustration and rage, I think to expect or even demand social justice from the government is a bit naive and a waste of energy.

Just like me I suppose. My point is you ALWAYS take up for those at the very top of the food chain. It seems as though a true Libertarian would care about the personal freedoms of the "regular folks". Don't the CEO types and the top 1% types, you know those who aren't allowed to fail no matter what already have enough minions to rally to their defense?

EDIT: Oh and as for me and my posts being worthless "these days" go back a few days, weeks, months, etc., and tell me how my posts, my opinions, my priorities, etc., have changed, then look back at your own. You used to be a hardcore Repub, hell even Calvin "worthless SOB" Coolidge was among your favorite presidents, then you "saw the light" and joined Ron Paul, a man who I don't really agree with politically speaking, but who I always said was a good honest man, now whether you realize it or not you're back on the hardcore right. Now that's totally you're call, but at least see where you are and as Bob Dylan said, "you got to serve somebody", at least know who you're serving.

Really old man? Clinton did more than he has. He used us to further his INDIVIDUAL gain to make a name for himself, not good I might add as a lot of his doing is going to be exposed when he is out of office. He dicked us in the ass to be blunt and laughing while doing it.....he is calling us "suckers". It is all about him and his stamp on the list of presidents and sadly he will get his when he is the very bottom tier of presidents. When all said and done he will be the first and last half breed president of the United States and saddle with bungled policies/lying/failures that made our nation worse.

I'm not on the hardcore right at all. There's not a single republican I plan to vote for in 2016.

I'm just tired of the hate for CEOs. It's a little nuts how whiny our country has become. You want to fix the income inequality? Reel in the fed, end fiat currencies, and stop endless government spending. The government props up the rich.
 
As a bit of an aside, does anybody else here find the descriptor "blacks" uncomfortable?

I don't know if it's a product of being raised in a nauseatingly PC Southern enclave, but I always use either 'black people' or 'African-American' ...

It's a small thing, for example, I don't find the phrasing of 'black community' to be iffy -- but 'the thing about the blacks' type phrasing always makes me cringe.

Weird I know.

I wouldn't have a problem with it, but I wouldn't believe it, nor should you. There is no "uplift the blacks" button in the Oval Office. Those buttons are in state and local offices.

Carson should thank Obama because for whatever degree he is being taken seriously, it's largely due to Obama coming before him. He not only showed the GOP that he could kick their butts twice on election day, but he can also outmaneuver them in daily politics..

There's no buttons for anything in the Oval Office, sometimes you just have to pray for a leader that knows how to, well . . . accomplish things.

I do. I actually find them all uncomfortable. When you generalize you're already in trouble but African American sounds ridiculously PC.

Is that what AA really stands for?

seriuosly....what part of preaching abstinence, responsibility, stop the crime, shootings, muggins, car jacking and things like that. We do not need more welfare, that is the problem and why they vote Democrat.

Yeah like talking directly to blacks and telling them you are the problem and the government should not take care of you for starters. Or Trayvon, Ferguson or any other media darlings that make us look bad. Why don't he addres his gaffs in that department "my son could be Trayvon crap". It doesn't help. Why don't he preach that black fathers are not taking responsibility and black mothers taking advantage of the system.

We spent 60 million to kill 1 of two 2 convicts out of tax payer's money when that money could have put 60,000 kids through school. Why doesn't he address that as well?

He failed as a president, only thinking about his legacy and that is all.

I don't see German-Americans, Russian-Americans, British-Americans, but I do see American Indians, African-Americans and Hispanics, so................................

As long as you see us as a sub-genre it will be "blacks or AA" both in a sense derogatory, but we do not have white skin, nor do most Hispanics and American Indians, you made it a point to have us different.

The Democrats do not want them to be enlightened, they lose votes because most blacks are anti-gay, anti-abortion bible thumpers, ie BAPTISTS and they cannot lose their voting block. To keep us dumb and uninformed, they are not going to say anything to lose that block. This is why Dems are worried about Carson (he has no chance) to be viable as he will not succumb to this policy of keeping us on welfare and dumb philosophy. Look at the percentage in demographics of welfare, fatherless kids, we are last across the board. At least the Hispanic dads are around.

We do not need handouts, we need a strong voice for our people that is what we say in the Baptist church as "UP LIFTING".

Not really, some do, because they have been brainwashed. You endured slavery, you endured all these obstructions, but we will take care of it by giving you money in reparations for your vote. Hey, if it works, why not exploit it, we are not the smartest people on the Earth. I and a few others know the game, we do not commit crimes, abandoned our kids, or ask for handouts. We do what normal Americans do, work, take care of our kids and climb up the corporate chain and treated with respect. People do not know, in a conservative corporate world, you a good worker, you get promoted, they based your climb on your ability, like me. I started at the bottom and I am the only one and been promoted a lot and now I am in high demand and guess what, they don't care about my skin color. Maybe down South they might have an issue but not here in the Twin cities, Milwaukee or other bigger cities here. Problem is a lot of blacks are resigned to the slave mentality status the Democrats thrust on them, I am your master that provides for you at no cost to you but your loyalty. When you have that mentality and they taking care of you, where is the incentive when no one tells you that you are better than that?

Yes I hate Democrats for this philosophy. I opened my eyes years ago when they paraded around telling blacks this is all you can become only through special programs you can succeed. I hated Republicans more at that time (I was against Cheney's war) and then that is when I said, f*** both parties, evil on both sides.
