How Has Obamacare Affected Your Life?

So it's been a while since this atrocious bill has been signed and implemented, and Im curious to see what affect it's having in our lives.

Post your personal stories here, either positive or negative, on any affects Obamacare has had in your life. I'll get the party started:

NEGATIVE:



My family doctor quit the private practice not long after Obamacare was passed, and he cited Obamacare as the reason. Then I had to go through the pain of finding a new family doctor I could trust, which I have still not settled on one.

Apparently, he's not alone. I was talking with a physician associated with the county I work in, and she asked about my private doctor. After telling her that he had left the practice, she said "There's a lot of that going around these days".

Sad that Obama and the dems would support and pass a bill that would put many doctors with private practices in such a position.

You do realize that doctors do not have to take Obamacare insurance plans. Many do not. They can continue to negotiate with other carriers, and have plenty of patients if there is demand. Most people are not on the exchanges.

My insurance went up about $20 per month. And my deductible went up about $200.

Obamacare won't effect me til I get taxed on it. Eff health care. I'm 26 and healthy. no reason to have health insurance aside from hedging bets.

i have had to listen to a lot of whiney bitches in this country and read a lot of stupid people that actually lean to or out right support the group that came up with the stupid plan that our let down of a "change" president came up with to get support of the people that came up with the plan to hate on it and think it is the worst thing in the world

instead of doing what every western civilized country in the world does and make sure a single payer helps the citizens

It is early, but it didn't take long to see that Obamas foreign policy would be a disaster. I don't think there could be any positives from obamacare for a working person other than the pre-existing condition part

Employees will be contributing to the cost of our health plan for te first time ever. Our deductible options were limited so we took a 1000 increase on deducts, but after having to spring for a indemnity plan to bring the deducts down, plan was more. Thus the contributions this year. Had to kick one old guy off the plan as well to go on his wife's plan.

On the flip side birth control and breast feeding equip all covered on wife's ins plan.

But 57 said that was my own fault, so there's that

My father had melanoma a few years back and is self employed. It's saving him about $25K and it's not because of subsidies because his income is too high. I personally don't use it, and my healthcare is about the same.

I couldn't afford my old plan so now I pay $100 more a month for less benifits.

I'm paying a little less for coverage that is maybe a little worse. Anecdotally, most of the people that I know have had about the same experience. No horror stories.
