well I rather pay $1550 total out of pocket than 6k which I think is minimum with O'Care and higher monthly premiums? 2 surgeries, plus getting EKG's, colonscopy, enema, 2 dermatologist exams, mri on knees and cat scan on my back. O'Care wouldn't cover all of those. After the hernia surgery I met my deductible so I took advantage of it and getting other stuff fixed since I already paid, just like when I had my children, I did all those expensive exams in the same year. I don't think O'Care covers 100% unless I am mistaken, but my insurance does. Family plan is $4800 max out of pocket, depending on care $1800 max per individual. After you pay, that is all I pay.

.....and for a family of 5, my insurance is only $198 a month. Dental is higher though $96 a month so we take every checkup we're entitled, 2 a year for each of us and they have a Braces/Bridge fund you can contribute that match up to $100 per month which is nice and my wife does it.

Do the math.

Why would I pay 6K out of my pocket for O Care and only $1550 with my company. My premiums are less than $200 a month. While Cobra Care + (Obama Care) is $300 more for even less benefits. I thought O Care was supposed to be affordable. It is not, almost like COBRA which is high but they cover almost everything and Obamination Care doesn't.

Can you explain this please?

It is no more complicated than that. Had you been ineligible (for a variety of reasons) to have HC insurance 2-3 years ago you would now. No more no less.

It is fvcking simple. Why is Obama Care almost as expensive as COBRA minus the services? The only thing Obama Care is good at is taking care of previous conditions, which I applaud standing up, but that is not enough, it is still expensive as hell if you don't work a business with health care.

ACA is not insurance. It regulates the selling of insurance . Had your state signed up you might or might not have a different story. I don't know and frankly don't care

Why is it so hard for you to just admit what the law is. It's ok for you to like it, but just admit what it is.

A person was able to get health insurance before the law went into effect. They had the choice not to. As you said, choices are good.

ACA now ensures you don't have that choice anymore. You are forced to get health insurance. Health insurance companies are forced to cover any and everything and unprofitable costs.

It's fine if you agree with the government forcing its will on us, just admit that is what it was.
 
Seems all pro arguments supporting HC are based on helping people. All the con arguments based on people with unwilling to give a small piece of their pie to help those without.

Government steps in only as a last resort. As in the insurance medical industries have proven are incapable of governing themselves.
