I'm sorry 57. But sometimes life just isn't fair. I happen to work for a technology insurance company. And we'd go out of business if we agreed to repair every damaged product after it was already damaged. You won't be able to get fire insurance on your house if your house is currently on fire. It just is what it is. While not being able to deny folks with pre-existing conditions sound really cozy and will be great for those folks who need it, it will certainly bring a huge cost to the insurers, and someone is going to have to pay for that cost.
I agree with all of this. But since it is immoral to treat people like toasters, you are merely making the case that private health insurance in an inherently flawed industry, and we should probably move onto something else.
Translation:
" I know this bill has sucked for a lot of people so far, and we're seeing a lot more negatives then positives. But just stick with it, it has to get better...right?"
Is this like "we have to pass the bill to know what's in it", only now it's " we gotta endure the crap that is obamacare now cause it might get better in the long run" ?
Lol
I don't think the youngish, healthy white guy demographic was supposed to benefit much from this stuff. We weren't the ones that needed help. Since that's the main type of folk posting here, I don't think this is the best place to poll this topic.
Why would I pay 6K out of my pocket for O Care and only $1550 with my company. My premiums are less than $200 a month. While Cobra Care + (Obama Care) is $300 more for even less benefits. I thought O Care was supposed to be affordable. It is not, almost like COBRA which is high but they cover almost everything and Obamination Care doesn't.
Can you explain this please?
AA, you can't buy "Obamacare." There is no such health insurance plan. I assume you mean the private options you found on the exchanges were way worse that your existing plan? I don't know the details of your situation, but I guess I don't really understand your question. Obamacare was never intended to create amazing options for people who already had good company health insurance.
