There is no consistency on the national stage, that's a huge part of the problem. When you aren't just as outraged when the team you hate most in the NFL gets a bad call as when your favorite team gets a bad call then you have no right IMO to complain. I didn't hear any conservatives complaining when Baldwin said what he said and was fired, I heard a lot of conservatives screaming when Bashir said a LOT of really evil stuff about Sarah Palin, though I strongly suspect it was more about Palin than about what Bashir said, but to be honest what Bashir said was way worse than what Baldwin or Robertson said, IMO. Did Libs scream when Baldwin went on his rant? Maybe so, but most of what I saw and heard was head shaking and disappointment not outrage. Did conservatives defend Baldwin's right to free speech? If so I didn't hear it. What about Bashir's right to be a hole on MSNBC (I started to say NATIONAL TV but caught myself at the last minute)?? Do conservatives really care about free speech when a LIB says outlandish things? Doubtful. Does a LIB really care about free speech when a conservative says something outlandish?? Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And so on...
I liked Bedell's copy/paste about how it would have been nice to have heard a more positive/upbeat message on tolerance rather than vengeance, I too would have liked to see somebody actually take the freakin' high road for a change, but alas....
Here's another pretty good IMO pretend interview
on this subject
By the way, to me the only clear winner in this stinkfest to this point, the TEA Party. They're getting much more attention for something other than how Ted Cruz's and Michelle Bachman's collective IQs are still in the double digits (combined) than they have in a long time.
