It will always be outrageous and politically destructive, but such nonsense is SOP for Trump. I agree that the outrage is fake, because it's exactly what we expect from him. But the media is in a horrible position because to normalize his behavior would be saying it's okay.
 
Knee jerk defenses of the maniac in chief aside, GOP members have to wonder how they would cope with another 4 years of this.
