And Peter Welch was strong too, in spite of having to operate under the handicap of not being an immigrant from a ****hole country.
 
If there is anyone that doubts the need for less power the be centered in the executive and less power invested in the Federal Government in general, this whole journey should convince them.
 
My second favorite moment was when Bill Taylor said when he talked to Sondland on the phone it was made clear that both the aid and a visit to the white house were dependent on the politically motivated investigations.
 
Sondland is going to be a vewwy interesting witness. His turn is next Wednesday. But I think Morrison, who goes on Tuesday, has helped Sondland break on through to the other side.

My views won't be popular with some, but Congress has been a mess since Gingrich took over in 1994. It's been a bipartisan sh*tshow consistently failing to do its job, allowing the power of the Presidency (again with bipartisan transgressions) to expand well beyond what should be its proper scope.
 
Looks like Trump tried to extort/bribe Ukraine using 3 different carrots:

Pence attending the Ukraine President ceremony
The White House visit
and the military aid
