Impeachment

Rudy about to blow this whole thing wide open with new information on Joe Biden's corruption. Says Ukraine needs to cooperate if they expect any aid.

All true.

You know what's there.

Rudy has chosen one's full endorsement. Rudy knows.

“I will personally tell you that one of my assistants spoke with Mr. Giuliani just recently and we are hoping very much that Mr. Giuliani will be able to travel to Ukraine and we will meet once he comes to Ukraine.”

"Mr. Giuliani is a highly respected man. He was the mayor of New York City, a great mayor, and I would like him to call you. I will ask him to call you along with the Attorney General. Rudy very much knows what’s happening and he is a very capable guy. If you could speak to him that would be great."

So stupid but

If the Ukraine is so corrupt, why would you go to them to investigate the matter?

Never have innocent people worked so hard to not prove and make it difficult to prove they are innocent

Can you point to the non corrupt officials in the Ukraine for me?

The current management of Naftogaz has stood up to a lot of corrupt political pressure brought to bear on it from the likes of Perry, Giuliani, Parnas and Fruman.

He hired them so he could fire them. Genius.
No. He hired them so he could keep them on a tight leash and make sure they couldn't hurt the country. Then when the time was right and they were no longer useful and a threat he got rid of them.

Very narrow. Could have easily gone to 20. Would have liked to see more with the emoluments clause.

The wider you go the harder it is to stay on message. This isn't a noble attempt to remove a corrupt individual from office, it's a political game. If Trump was a Democrat you'd have Republicans trying to impeach him and Democrats defending him. It's the nature of our political climate. Since this is a political game, the Democrats need their message to be clear. A muddled mess of a list would cause voters to tune them out.

I maintain this is a huge blunder for the Dems. If they pass these articles (and I think they will), they turn the circus over to the Senate. The Republican controlled Senate. A Senate run by an extremely politically savvy and ruthless man. This will give the Republicans the chance to take control of the narrative and also give them the last word on the matter.

Then there's the fact that you're poking the hornet's nest that is Trump's base of support. You're giving people who went out and voted last time because they were angry a reason to get angry again...in a presidential election year. And when Trump is acquitted in the Senate, you're handing Trump a victory.

Such a political blunder here. If I was Speaker of the House right now, my strategy would just be to hold one investigation after another with each ending in a vote of censure. Squeeze the Senate out of the whole affair and keep the narrative on Trump being corrupt all the way up to the election.
