Indians show how to gut your farm system in one day

With the market the way it is, I would think JT/Viz could net Benin/Devers/+. But I assume you are correct that BOS would hang tight or offer something like that for Sale. I would not move JT to Boston without benintendi coming back.

The thing about these overpays in the market is they are mainly being done by teams who feel they need to strike while the iron is hot. Cleveland is a low/mid market team that feels they need to take their chances while they can since they can't afford big contracts, and Chicago obviously has the curse to break and had closer as their only real gaping hole on the team. Boston has won multiple WS in the past 12 years or so, has a huge payroll, and outside of Ortiz retiring their entire team is under control through the 2020 season. They have no real reason to make a huge overpay.

I would agree with you that we shouldn't trade Julio unless we get Benintendi back (though before they traded him I could have gotten behind a Devers, Espinoza, and Kopech for Julio and Viz trade), but I also see zero chance they give him up for that.
