#Braves Wood: "I don’t think there will be much tomfoolery. I think it’ll be a well-run clubhouse, something we might have missed last year

I wonder who the culprits were for this? Ultimately, its Freddi's fault but its clear the Braves did not like the mix of players from last years roster.

Jason Heyward, that damned tomfool.

God forbid people actually like showing up to work and enjoying their job

I would guess the main culprits are on the team still, they reside in CF and 3B

Maybe Santana was the culprit? He was always smiling even when things got ugly. That might have rubbed someone the wrong way. :)

Plus he called the offense out for stinking at least once too.

I get what the pitching and hitting coaches do. What does the manager and the bench coach do if this type of stuff is a problem? Couldn't anyone, the GM for instance, put out the line up? Can't the pitching coach making pitching change decisions? Hit and run, etc could be hitting coach...

What does Fredi do for the money he gets paid? Just talk to the media?

If the Braves want to be forward thinking and save some bucks, fire the manager and use that money to sign some international free agents.

Or maybe today is opposite day, and the world missed the memo.

"I think there will be much tomfoolery. I don't think it’ll be a well-run clubhouse, something we didn't miss last year (at all).”

Last year's roster was pretty much the same as 2013's, minus Hudson and McCann. I mean, I know those two are pretty much the epitome of Veteran Goodness, but were they really the only entities capable of holding back the forces of darkness?

Reed Johnson would be another, he seemed to be very popular among his teammates. I know he and Gattis were close too. Did anyone hear any complaints about Ryan Doumit besides his on field performance? I am just trying to think of players no longer on the team that may not of fit in here.

I blame Fredi.

No, I really do. If he can't control the tomfoolery, then what is he good for? It's certainly not in-game strategy or talking to the press.

Agreed...This quotation from Alex does not shed Freddi in a good light.

Are we to believe that the clubhouse was a disaster last year and that is why the team struggled? What is his job?

I've said that many times about Freeman, but I am not saying that's a bad thing.

Yeah, I think its ok to have a couple of guys like that to loosen things up. The problem is when you take two important vets off the team (Huddy/Mac) then nobody is there to keep everyone in line if too much tomfoolery is going around.

How many more of these do we need before people will stop acting like the clubhouse wasn't a problem?

What I find funny is the idea of someone like AJ being brought in to help fix what he is most known for causing himself. :)
