Irma

Also this is something else we can blame Harvey on. With Harvey exiting the US now it's system is what's going to cause Irma to push farther west instead of north and possibly not hitting the US at all. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

Havent been following. Central FL looking safe?

latest projections have it going farther south than yesterday and has it going into central florida. still a ways outs and it's going to continue to fluctuate until wedensday or so. by then we will have a much better idea of where it's going. really anywhere on the atlantic coast should be keeping an eye on this one. especially the southern half.

Thanks. Will have to start keeping an eye on it.

Updates now showing it going farther south to the Miami area. Still a ways out to get any real determination but Florida looks likely to get hit.

Thanks. Yeam Im basically in Tampa. So if it makes landfall near Miami, hopefully it weakens a bit before getting to me.

Latest American model (GFS) has this mother****er skimming the FL coast and making landfall in Charleston as a Cat 5. Will be interesting to see if the European model follows suit with the easterly hook.

Well if it is headed for a direct hit of Charleston, it's more than likely going to touch Savannah with how big it is. So not very thrilled about this.

I Have family in Charleston. That would devastate Charleston.

My entire family is there. Parents live downtown. Beach house on Folly. Cousins out on Sullivan's Island. Uncle on John's Island.

I just can't even begin to think about it.

I'll begin to worry a lot more if the European model (which predicted Harvey) also begins showing this pronounced NE hook.

Of course, the National Hurricane Center still has it sliding over Miami and up West into the Gulf, so that just goes to show you that nobody really knows what the hell is going to happen.

The latest European Model that correctly predicted Harvey, and the latest GFS as of about half an hour ago all show the bottom corner of Charleston near the GA border for a direct hit.
