Is Free Speech Under Attack in this Country?

It’s so odd, test against, the fraud boy and his comments are nearly identical to the talking points being spouted by his leaders

It doesn’t matter that it’s still false that they aren’t getting rid of all 1,000+ districts and that Disney will be like every other business in Florida lol

Just keep saying it and hope no one notices that it’s not true lol

From the dude who calls others seals, it’s crazy how identical his phrases etc are to a lot of ring wing twitter and pundits etc lol

Anyway, here’s the clip where the same phrases he types here is said by the cults number 2:

Damaged it so much someone is willing to pay over market price lol

He has said it isn't about money. It's easy to be cynical about that statement, but his willingness to pay over market certainly supports that statement. The fact that he could light $44 billion on fire and still have more money than both of us could ever count certainly helps.

He says it isn't about money, but it is. I think Musk sees how easy it is to be rich off social media. I wouldn't be shocked if twitter is more aggressive with advertising under him. Dorsey led twitter wasn't that aggressive because that wasn't Dorsey's interest. Musk I think it will be. While I think Musk won't mind losing money, he won't be actively trying to. He's not an idiot. He's an exceptional capitalist. He sees how much money apps like Facebook,

Maybe he's altruistic, maybe this is his Youtube. Where Google uses Youtube not as a means to draw people in fully hook line and sinker like facebook, Instagram or Tiktok, but as a means to an end. While Youtube exists to massively boost google's AI and algorithms, twitter doesn't do that for Tesla. Maybe this truly is a passion project, but I think more likely it won't be. I fully expect Twitter to become an NFT cesspool in no time as one means of revenue generation.

I don't really think it's altruism either. I suspect he sees some people being defended from criticism while he isn't, and that plays a part. He's also vain enough to do things for celebrity status and old enough to be thinking about his legacy. He's innovated in space launch, electric cars, batteries, and internet service. I expect he wants to add social media and some type of medical/biomedical/pharmaceutical niche to his Wikipedia page. That will cover the biggest change sectors of his day, so kids a few generations from now can learn about him the way we learned about guys like Einstein, Ford, and Edison. Any unFUBARing he does of Twitter's social leftist bias is just an incidental benefit.

Didn't I see somewhere that Musk wants Dorsey to CEO Twitter again?

I have a sneaky suspicion that any work done on social media won't be viewed in a positive light in future generations. Maybe it's just the cynic in me, but I suspect it will be viewed negatively because of the power social media wields unchecked. If it isn't regulated to hell in the next decade it will fall apart under it's weight. I may fully be wrong, but I think the 2010s was the social media decade, the 2030s will see some major change that will cause people to abandon these things like they're AIM, MSN chat, etc.

Musk may be viewed in a positive light if his Starlink adn Tesla do what they want. Both of those are big leaps forward and if they're successful in their mission will be viewed as such.

I'm sure Musk wants Dorsey to run Twitter, Dorsey has no interest. He's fully invested into Block. He wasn't ousted as CEO, he elected to leave because he was tired of running twitter adn wanted to put more time and effort into Block. Maybe Dorsey would do it because I think if I recall correctly he and Musk are friends. But I woudl venture a guess he won't.

I'm with you on social media. I told someone last weekend that I think it's the modern equivalent of tobacco in the '50s. Everyone is doing it, pop culture is fully inundated with it, and the few people screaming about it's evils are being ignored because people enjoy it and it generates huge profits.

I can agree with that. Listen I consume social media. Technically in the loosest definition things like this message baord are social media. But there's a massive difference between this and Facebook that's specifically designed to make you engage. I can not come here for months and not really feel like I missed that much. But Facebook is designed to make you feel like if you aren't always logged in you'll miss something.

WHat annoys me the most about facebook is how locked down they made the marketplace and business. As someone who deleted their facebook, I am half tempted to make a fake facebook with a brand new email just to get access to marketplace and look up businesses. Mind you as well when I had Facebook, I only ever used it on a web browser, the people with the apps who're always connected I feel bad for.

Huh?

As predicted. The build a bears have not got their talking points yet

[Tw]1519770657189515265[/tw]

Still nothing from the seals

Elon buys twitter and immediately nsacpi Biden discusses repealing section 230 (wait wasn't that a trump idea??) And then set up the tyrant loving ministry of truth the same week.

The seals are silent, as expected and predicted. They simply do not have their talking points downloaded yet

It will be fun to watch leftists have a collective meltdown when DeSantis controls the ministry of truth.

"WHERE ARE THE CONSERVATIVES COMPLAINING ABOUT SPEECH?!?!"

Or maybe no one cares because it has no actionable power. Only reason to care is the waste of money. Which is a valid concern. But you act like they're gonna be running around and telling peopel what to say and what not to say when they're basically gonna be an ineffective messaging system.

But it's cute to see the clapping seal clapping away

**ARF ARF**MINISTRY OF TRUTH**ARF ARF**

If Trump had created a ministry of truth you guys woulda ****ing lost it

Thethe nailed it. Unserious people

I've often asked what line the left would draw as too far. They've been unwilling to criticize any part of the COVID response, and I've never seen any of them show concern over where speech is heading.

I keep wondering where the line is but then I remember they are a hivemind who has been programmed to have no line
