Is Free Speech Under Attack in this Country?

Congrats to Luna. You know she's hit the big time when the MSM is doing untruthful hit pieces on her.

Another brilliant article by Turley. The people he goes after here sounds awfully familiar to those in this forum. lol

From Turley's column:

“The Democratic Party [is] the bedfellow of international communism.” Those words from Sen. Joe McCarthy captured the gist of the Red Scare and the use of blacklists and personal attacks to silence critics. The Democrats this week appear to have taken up the same cudgel in labeling opponents and critics Russian sympathizers and fellow travelers in opposing government involvement in a massive censorship system.

I'm glad to see the poster who routinely accuses people he disagrees with of being commies reconsider the matter.

If you thought highly of me I would be concerned. If I wanted your approval I could manipulate you into giving it to me, its certainly not hard.

Not really a free speech issue, but JK Rowling discourse is getting to the point of self sabotage.

Some popular game review sites like Kotaku, Polygon and Eurogamer have not yet reviewed Hogwarts Legacy despite the review embargo lifting Monday, while others have denounced J.K. Rowling’s comments and voiced support for transgender people in their reviews.

Non-anecdotally looks like about half the outlets are covering the game.
Harry Potter Legacy - 72 reviews on Metacritic
God of War Ragnarok - 141 reviews

And the game is breaking sales records. For an industry (reviews journalism) that’s been decimated by layoffs, probably not the best idea.

Hogwarts Legacy's physical sales for its first week in the UK are 80% higher than Elden Ring's, which is incredibly impressive when considering just how big of a deal Elden Ring was at this time last year and the fact that the new Harry Potter game is only available on three platforms versus Elden Ring's five. While Hogwarts Legacy is coming to PS4, Switch, and Xbox One later this year, the game is currently only available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, whereas Elden Ring debuted on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
