I don't think there is a single instance where I would support a private company having the legal protection to steal your money if you have an opinion it doesn't like
It's also a culture war issue... Bc you know which "misinformation" they care about
And it's a dystopian sign of things to come... As the federal reserve is currently threatening a digital dollar where we know this is how that would.be deployed

It’s funny, you only seem to have this energy around consumer protection when it has something to do with “wokeness” or political opinions. Do you really think the executives at PayPal care about what people say online? Hint: they don’t. They incorrectly thought they could make more money from their customers by feigning social justice. Yet, rather than see the blatant corporate greed for what it is, you decry the “wokeness” and let them slither back to find other, less performative ways to **** over their customers.

PayPal isn’t doing a ****ing thing unless it helps their bottom line. They thought if they gave a good reason to take money from their customers that they’d have broad support for it and they were wrong.

I transgressed against yelp's rules and my review was taken down. Dont know the effect on the bottom line. Very poorly chosen transgressed against Twitter's rules much more bigly and many more times. And was NOT taken down. My suspicion is bottom line considerations DID come into play in influencing their decision to tolerate all his infringements, minor and not so minor.
