ISIS

we beat the British by fighting like terrorists

it's weird that somehow pointing out our flaws and things we have done wrong means you think we think the other people are good guys

Still waiting on the death totals.

They're the monsters. We've done nothing to warrant their aggression. Surely they must have killed millions of us.

"U.S. threatens sanctions on buyers of ISIS oil".

If anyone seriously thinks we're waging war on ISIS because of islamic extremism and principle they're seriously the perfect suckers the Republican Party is attracting. It's easier to sell military action to scared people who think they're all going to come here and behead us, when the real reason you're trying to stop them is because they're smuggling millions of dollars in oil barrels a day and making money. When they do that, there's a certain few wallets in the country that are not going to be happy about it that we don't have control of those Iraqi oil fields.

I get a kick out of someone who thinks Obama's fantastic having the gall to call someone a "sucker". Yes, money is involved. It always is. It also makes sense if we can stop this. We don't need a terrorist organization that has this much money coming in.

Making sure our enemy doesn't have a lot of money isn't a strategy to defeat them?

He's more so saying, I think, that we're losing money because of all the money they're making from oil. If we weren't losing money we wouldn't care as much.

Yet we don't give a **** about Saudi Arabia?

I know exactly whta he is saying and my contention is that they are using these new sanction/threats to weaken ISIS now that they are in a full conflict with them. The point that was made was to imply we are only in this conflict with ISIS because of oil.

Do you guys remember when our secretary of state said on national television that the deaths of over a half a million children in the middle east due to our sanctions was "worth it"?

Yeah - no reason for anyone to get angry over that.

Nobody remembers that? Shocker

Still waiting

We have better weapons than them so obviously the count is going to look bad.

Does that mean we shouldn't do anything? We should just sit idly on our hands while they cause terror around the world.

While you live in the dream world where the terrorists will just go away the rest of us live in the real world and understand that radical Islamists won't stop until every person alive is Mulsim.

So you're point is... "sure, we've killed millions, they've kill thousands. But they're the bad guys. They're terrorizing and killing people. So we should kill more of them."

My point is, perhaps the two are related

How many good guys have we killed vs. them?

Did you listen to the clip above?

No, but if you think its worthwhile then I'll watch it later.

Again, the inflated numbers are a direct result of the terrorists putting the moderate population in danger.

The blood of the innocents is on their hands just as it is on our hands.

You can continue to deny that but that is how these cowards fight because really its the only way they can.

Do you really believe that they are going to stop being radical if we leave them alone? Can you be that naive?

It's a 23 second clip. It's one of the most powerful people in our country saying that the deaths of 500,000 kids dying as a result of our sanction was worth it.

Do you really believe that they are going to stop being radical if we leave them alone? Can you be that naive?

Here's what I believe. If I walk up to you in a bar and punch you in the face, then there should be a reasonable expectation that you or your friends might punch me back.

If I kill a man, there should be a reasonable expectation that his family may want revenge.

It's called "blowback." A common term used by our CIA. And many of the attacks we have suffered have been attributed to blowback per our own government (such as a 9/11). Osama explained the reasons for 9/11. Go check them out.

You can't just impose your will on other countries and not expect some sort of reaction. We've been doing for over a century. Now, when they fight back, we call them terrorists, and kill more of them. So more of them fight back. And we kill more. We're their best recruiting tool.

How many good guys have we killed vs. them?

Is this a serious question? There have been 140,000+ documented civilian deaths in just Iraq since 2003.

That's just Iraq. That doesn't include the half million kids that were "worth it" in the 90's.

I won't bother looking up Afghanistan, Syria, Egypt, or Pakistan.

There's probably a drone killing some kid right now.
