Not perhaps. They did. Israel doesn't help themselves by being so aggressive but this was provoked by Hamas. There is no question about that. If you want to say everything is a lie then you are entitled to believe that but then there is nothing that can be said to change your mind.

This is not England, US, or any other civilized area. This is an area of the world where no one values human life like we do. Civilians, militants, women, children, make no difference in that area of the world.
Zito has to be anti-Semitic. It's Only way he can possibly be so blind. Hamas continuously breaks cease fires and launches rockets into israel but he feels like israel shouldn't have the right to defend itself.
Unfortunately, I learned growing up that a lot of people are anti-Semitic. It never surprises me to learn someone else is. I kind of expect it. Jews have been persecuted since the rise of the Roman empire (I choose not to discuss ancient Egypt). For anyone to criticize how the Jewish people protect themselves is not considering what has been done to them historically. Israel has reason to believe that at any moment their fall will come.

In That part of the world, wars and battles are fought in neighborhood streets and not on some beaches, deserts or hillsides that most battles take place. Hamas had zero incentive to agree to the terms of the Egyptian ceasefire, which heavily favored the Israelis.
No fan of Hamas but this is like US vs. War on Terror in a smaller scale.

That could be true but there wouldnt need to be a ceasefire if Hamas wouldn't keep shooting rockets in Israel.
Egypt was basically saying 'Hamas quit your **** and Israel won't **** with you' but Hamas didn't agree to that. I think we can all agree whether or not the cease fire was agreed to, Hamas would still shoot another rocket into israel within a year or two.
