Most people would've realized it was a violent mob intent on doing something by force. But it's very possible that you may have mistaken it for a Sunday picnic.

Such a violent mob that the police allowed them in. I'm not saying there weren't violent people but let's say the police helped create the situation.
 
So after a group of cops fired tear gas at them outside another group invited them to tea inside. Good cop bad cop eh? I'd be confused too.

I have no idea. Could be that the cops were told to invite them in to get them in more trouble which did happen.
 
Of course it could have been the police felt they were overwhelmed in numbers so let them in to quell any more violence.

The academic informs me that wrongful prosecution is no biggie bc you still have the right to spends millions and years of time to try to get it reversed
 
There is video showing that Q shaman was asked to "get out of the building." But maybe the cop winked at him while saying that.

In his please agreement he acknowledged he was asked to leave the building. He also admitted he refused to leave the building. Maybe he was confused or had a bad lawyer.

I am happy to hear the dude is getting some help for his mental health problems (which apparently include bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD and anxiety). Maybe some good will come out of his sad adventures.

Oklahoma and other states whose capitols came under siege will have to decide for themselves. They have elected attorneys general, police, prosecutors and judges to take care of such matters. If someone refused repeated orders to leave then the book should be thrown at them. If they engaged in violence or property crimes the penalty should fit the crime.

Btw the sentencing guidelines for the crimes Q Shaman pleaded guilty called for 41-51 months. The judge gave him 41, saying he was taking into account his mental health issues. He ended up serving half his sentence, getting out early for good behavior. I hope he is able to live a productive and happy life. It also worth noting that he has said he entered the Capitol to save the country after a stolen election. Obviously, this is delusional (a delusion shared by some around here). It also speaks to what was happening that day. Most people in that mob took it upon themselves to act in an extra-constitutional way to keep their boy in power.

Can we just cut to the chase? Let's just say all of this J6 stuff was way over prosecuted for what was done. If this was antifa and BLM doing this to a republican president this would not have been called an insurrection and the lib protestors wouldn't have been called terrorists. Jail time would have been sparse except for the cop shooting an unarmed liberal protester. You know it and I know it.

I think the DoJ got it about right. I have sympathy for someone like Q shaman. But in his own words he was there to save the country after a stolen election. His objective was to overturn our constitutional system. There is no way around that. So there is also a case for a much stiffer sentence.

If a bunch of people enter the Capitol saying they were there to save the country, we shouldn't pretend they were confused tourists. We should take their descriptions of their motivations as accurate.
