Sickels is my favorite prospect "expert".
Most don't have Povse anywhere near that high.
Whalen is basically a non-prospect.
I guess I would measure Whalen on his 360 minor league innings versus his 25ish MLB innings.. but like you say.. keep derping along..
Shall we make a signature bet based around Whalen's future MLB production?
I don't have my crystal ball out, but I will listen to what you have to say
According to this scouting guide: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/scouting-explained-the-20-80-scouting-scale/
A 3/4 starter should be expected to produce 2-3 WAR per season. If he doesn't produce that, I win. We will set the over/under at 2.5 WAR.
I don't think he hits a #3.. not this year. I say make it one season at a specific number. I will say he gets 1.6+ WAR this season (which might be more than Jackson gets his whole career).. balls in your court.
Woah, really? I don't think he comes close to that.
Would want to put a stipulation on innings pitched. I am not sure he gets many starts this year and may see significant time in AAA because of it. I would want 60+ innings or bet nullified/pushed to next season.. I could also take a wash out contingent.. say he doesn't pitch 60+ innings in the next 2 years, he is a bust and I lose.

You think he could get 1.6 WAR in 60-70 innings?!
My plan for giving all you guys signatures requires more immediacy than 2 years.

I said one year, but I have to have a fail safe. Dude is still a prospect.
And I feel I should point out...
You are now so low on Whalen after being called out, you are claiming he may not even pitch 60 innings at the MLB level.
And no, I'm not making a bet that will take 2 years to resolve. You haven't even been on the board 2 years.
Either have enough balls to state a definitive opinion about Whalen, or shut up about him when we talk about him.
