Julio T...

Yep, Julio and Maybin for Soler (and maybe a bullpen arm) would make alot of sense for both teams IMO.

It wouldn't make much sense for the Cubs, imo. If Hart can pull this off, that would be amazing. The Cubs have 4 really solid starting pitchers, I think they can live with a lesser 5th starter to keep Soler in the lineup. He's going to end up hitting a **** ton of homers.

For some reason, I can't copy and paste from the article, but part of it says that there has been friction between Teheran and Roger MocDowell. I had not heard that. Interesting, if true.

Im surprised that we haven't heard about any friction between Wood and McDowell yet.

Yeah, I read the article and that's the first I've heard of that as well...

In the case of Soler, he's a potential 5 tool player and definitely younger than Olivera...I don't know who else I'd throw in besides Teheran for Soler though...surely not much more but I said the same the other day...I wouldn't have been near as upset if it had been a Wood for Olivera straight up

Nah, the rat****ing about Alex's ticking-timebomb delivery covered the quota for badmouthing outgoing players.

Also, something something friction Wood explosion.

Per Heyman on Twitter:

CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that Julio Teheran's name is "not out there now" in trade talks.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports last week that the Braves were "quite open" to the idea of dealing Teheran, but they've apparently pulled him off the market. It would be an odd time to trade him, anyway, since he's having a disappointing season and Atlanta might not be able to get what he's worth.

Those asking about Teheran rumors, I'm told #Braves not discussing him with any team.

Two points. First, if Hart has his eye on Soler, he will by next season be a Brave. He said in the phone call last night that it was time to get bats plural. Second, if there really is friction between Roger and JT, then Julio will be the departed. Might not happen today but I would almost bet on it going down by Feburary.

It would be a big mistake to trade Julio. This is a kid that the Braves have known since he was 15 and probably younger. Having all that information is important and that level of comfort breeds more comfort. One bad year and maybe some attitude should not change how the whole organziations feels. I'd be very dissapointed if he was traded.

Clearly that tweet means the Teheran deal is almost done.

Sounds like the market for Teheran has remained light. The Braves have obviously maintained they won't sell low on him.

Yep, definitely.

If the plan is to trade Julio, then it would be better in the offseason where more teams are in play and hopefully he can get his head out of his arse and have a good run to end the season.

It'll be okay. Wait until you see what we get back.

I'm sure it will be interesting pieces. I just really like Julio and woudl rather see him a Brave.

There's no indication that he'll get better, and he is an arm injury waiting to happen. As bad as Wood is, Teheran is even worse.

Says who? The mechanics police? I didn't think Wood would last this long after the first TJ, but guessing who's TJ eligible is insane. And to say Julio won't get better, I'd beg to differ. There have been brilliant starts in between terrible starts. There's more there than to say he won't get better!

Yeah, but if the team knows him best and decides to cut ties, it might be a sign that there is much more to Julio's struggles than a slump.
