Justin Upton and Texas

I'm not admitting that Upton is an MVP type hitter because he was unfairly voted 4th in one year of his career.

But, hey all you guys told me BeeJ was an MVP type player as well.

Unfairly voted? Wow, someone certainly thinks highly of their own opinion compared to hundreds of writers who are paid to cover the game. Did anyone ever tell you that you come off as an egotistical maniac?

It could be argued that Upton was voted that highly more due to his hype and age than actual production. It happens a lot.

Not sure if I've heard those exact words before.

Click the link and tell me how his stat measure up to the others in the top 20. Then, come back to me and kiss my ass.

He put up a .900 OPS at the age of 21. You asked when did anyone ever think Upton could be an MVP? Well, don't you think it's reasonable for someone to think that a 21 year old with a .900 OPS could one day win the MVP?

I'll bet anyone on this board $100 that JUp finishes in the top 5 for MVP before he leaves the Braves.

EDIT: unless he is traded before his contract expires.

He's only being traded on this board. In real life, he'll at least finish out his current contract in ATL.

Yep. 2 .900 OPS seasons before he was 24 years old, and GF can't comprehend why anyone would think he could be an MVP type hitter. I'm thinking GF's reasoning lies soley with the fact that Upton is a Brave. As his loverboy Bryce Harper but up an .854, and he considers him a first ballot HOF.

Sure, Harper is 20, and Upton was 21 when he had a great season. But I think everyone on this board considers Harper a potential MVP type hitter. It's just curious why GF is so down on JUpton...
