Let's Talk About Media

Its funny. They finally got a right wing story that was false propaganda and started pouncing aggressively.

We all agreed it was false, disgusting, and hurt media credibility.

Why thats so hard for them to do on the other 99% of examples baffles me.

Well not really, they need their propaganda arm to achieve their agenda

i have to say Jaw that your little catalog of grievances with the media is an interesting one...i'm sorry the coverage of Ivanka's hairdo upset you so much...more so apparently than your boy telling cops to rough people up...i guess we all have our perspective and priorities

I've criticized Trump the person quite a bit. If he lived on my street I wouldn't even invite him to backyard pool parties. Outside of smack-on-sight, that's about the lowest category I can put someone in.

But this thread is titled "Let's talk about media," which is what I was doing here. But please, link some more WaPo articles to reinforce your newfound ideology.

I've criticized the media plenty too.

Imo they have singularly failed to do their job the past five years.

Every day the headline should have been "Enough with the Insanity."

But they normalized the insanity. They were afraid if they ran that headline every day they would be accused of bias.

That's my take on the biggest media failing of the past five years. They grossly underplayed and undercovered THE story of the past five years.

And I would add it is still an extremely important story that should be covered comprehensively from all angles: this strange melding of social pathologies and one man's mental disease that still afflicts large parts of American society. The media is still not doing its job very well on that story. It is not an easy story to cover. It is complicated. But that shouldn't be an excuse.

Willful ignorance

oh...this is quite the post from you...a little bit rich (not in the seth sense)

Don’t disappear in the future when the truth comes out.

To this day there is absolutely zero physical evidence that Russia hacked the dnc or any outside entity rather. A reasonable person would conclude the data was extracted on premises. For some reason you can’t get your head there yet but keep believing the ‘intelligence community’.

For some reason the fbi has his laptop and when they released any information after months of stalling it was heavily redacted. I mean for a routine botched robbery that seems odd.

But when you’re a person that thinks the media wasn’t tough enough in trump the past five years then I don’t expect much critical thinking on anything else.

you have my promise I will stick around for the truth to emerge on all these matters

I’m shocked we don’t have to have as many fact checkers now as we did when........

Checks notes

...... trump was president.

Beyond insane to act like they are in anyway the same league, much less ballpark, when it comes to lying and the time it takes to “fact check” them

Something about things dying in darkness

Hahahahhahahahhahahahahah

Even Fox News calls this fake news. If Fake News is calling your fake news out, you're ****ed

https://www.foxnews.com/media/washington-post-ripped-ending-biden-fact-checking-database

Let's also consider what they're claiming

https://web.archive.org/web/2021042...interactive/2021/biden-fact-checker-100-days/

"Biden’s relatively limited number of falsehoods is a function, at least in part, of the fact that his public appearances consist mostly of prepared texts vetted by his staff. He devotes little time to social media, in contrast to his Twitter-obsessed predecessor, and rarely faces reporters or speaks off the cuff."

Hardly saying the fault, what Kessler is saying is that because he sticks to a script and doesn't just tweet **** all the time and doesn't go way off script at pressers and holds rallies years before being elected, he doesn't tend to say as many lies.

Which again, I don't suspect you do get because you're a fool who won't spend 1 minute fact checking, you just assume that Breaking 911 is a real source, hint they aren't.

Two years later, it’s still amazing that a 5pm talk show on fox news outdraws anything on the msnbc or cnn channel.
