I agree Fox News has been pure propaganda for the Koch brothers for a long time now, while CNN has and still is considered a serious news network. They are nothing alike.

CNN firing those highly respected journalists shows they are serious about maintaining high standards. When was the last time Fox fired anyone for getting sources wrong? They protect sex abusers almost as vigorously as the Catholic Church. And if Fox has any ethical standards of journalism we haven't seen it.

So CNN fired those reporters because they had ethical standards?

The specter of a $100 million libel suit scared CNN into retracting a poorly reported story that slimed an ally of President Trump’s — and forcing out the staffers responsible for it, The Post has learned.

The cable network’s coverage of Trump transition-team member Anthony Scaramucci came amid federal scrutiny of corporate parent Time Warner’s pending purchase by AT&T — and the widespread belief among media execs that CNN President Jeff Zucker can’t survive a merger.

CNN immediately caved after Scaramucci, a financier and frequent network guest, cried foul and threatened to take legal action, sources said Tuesday.

Scaramucci got an unusual public apology but still hired a top Manhattan lawyer to put further pressure on CNN and “look after [his] interests in this matter,” one source said.

Sources also said the three journalists responsible for the retracted story — reporter Tom Frank, editor Eric Lichtblau and Lex Haris, who headed the CNN Investigates unit — were urged to resign.

“They called them in and said they’d pay out their contracts, but they should leave immediately,” one source said.

Zucker was afraid of facing a high-profile suit from Scaramucci while the US Justice Department weighs the proposed $85.4 billion media merger.

Sounds like CNN didn't fire those reporters because of ethical standards

Atleast the media covers your guys. I am convinced if my guy had won the presidency those networks would drop all coverage of the Presidency.

Then has the cajones to call the media out for fake news and claim he has no dealing with Russians.

People are such suckers.
 
Funny to accuse fox of propoganda when liberal media outlets are retracting stories almost on a daily basis. These are not mistakes. These are intentional stories to cause unrest with the population. Nobody on the left follows the retraction. All they know is the content of the original false story.
 
They made a mistake and retracted. Not sure what else there is to do.

I wouldn't have realized CNN made an error, retracted , the reporters fired had it not been for Trump, that woman that got scolded yesterday and of course, thethe.

Had they not admitted a mistake your point would be taken. However at thos point Trump,that woman and thethe are beating a dead horse

Research shows that a tweet gets 7X the amount of re-tweets than the retraction tweet.

Meaning, a lot more people see the false story than the correct one

I love how the left tries to defend the media. They are being as dishonest as the media and its all intentional with the goal being to cause so much unrest that they forcefully take power and change how America is run.

My guess is the latter

This is a Nixonian Trap that wasn't very clever 50 years ago and still rings hollow.
