Would you look at that, an actual thought beyond ‘lol WaPo bad’. Now we’ve started a discussion on alternative outlets and why the article might have left you nonplussed.
You don’t think Charlie Kirk, Steve Bannon and Matt Gaetz are not sharing pro-Trump propaganda? Really?
I’m not sure how that follows. That crowd is quite literally gleefully cheering on old-timey imperialism right now. Even if Trump never says another word about Panama or Greenland once he takes office (which is likely except for random 2am tweet storms), these people will have already primed their audience to argue how the deep state stopped us from expanding our empire. You can’t just unring that bell because Trump’s stupid ideas are unrealistic.
And yet you seem surprised by the claim that these cult members might be putting out subpar journalism and attacking the people who criticize such behavior as something sinister.
It’s still a lie by the incoming President that you call foolish only because it’s unrealistically expensive and/or geopolitically disastrous. But the people that decided The Daily Wire and Fox News were too anti-Trump are being fed lies that this is really just common sense America-first governance. These people will not retract their statements and will dismiss any criticism of it as the woke deep state being upset. And that audience will accept it all uncritically. Which steps in that process differs from propaganda?

I always enjoy when people use the weirdest data to prove their point. This graph “showing” Dems abandon the Center is actually showing the Median Voter finding themselves roughly in the midpoint between Strong Democrats and Strong Republicans on two issues. It is certainly noteworthy that Dems shifted left on immigration around 2012, but the median voter did too.

This is what bothers me about simply moving your trust from the media to the Elon Musks of the world. The legacy media doesn’t give two ****s about whether or not Elon is Adrian Dittman. It’s MAGA trolls and social media personalities bringing this up, not the MSM. Musk is doing nothing more than misdirecting criticism against him at a boogeyman.

I know nothing about this before peopel were sharing the call where he first personed himself as Elon, but why the **** would someone do that?
