a large portion that identifies with being republican (whatever the **** that means now)

say the media hasn't done enough to "bring the country together" and says "they divide us"


imagine being that stupid to think that is what the media is here to do.

Thanks for finally doing explicitly what all of us have known implicitly. Hannity knew Trump was going to call him to the stage. Then tweets he had no idea and it was an honor.

I mean, he clearly pushed her arm down in an effort to keep the microphone, so in that sense he did lay hands on her. With that in mind it's absolutely not a big deal. This whole thing is WWE. I actually think Trump fans really like Acosta. Does Acosta deserve to be banned? Not from this white house. But it's all theater. Fun to watch.

I wish more media would do what Hannity did. Stop pretending.
 
I hope the white house media bands together and refuses to attend press briefings and Trump says, fine. And then he completely opens up the press briefings to new media from the left and the right.

I disagree. It's not "all theater" and it's not fun to watch.
 
Acosta is a very serious person and we should take his rescinded credentials as a very serious attack on free press.

Just to be clear, I think Acosta should have been kicked out a long time ago because of the way he acts during press conferences. If that wasn't enough then not surrendering the mic when the intern walked up and asked for it should have been. None of us would have approved if Jake Tapper had acted this way when he was the WHC for Fox during the Obama years and none of us should approve now. The office of the President deserves respect even when the President acts in a way that deserves a timeout.

As for the doctored video, and I say this in all seriousness, Trump probably checks PJWs twitter feed multiple times a day and never doubts the authenticity of anything he sees there. That is not me defending him, I think we can all agree that he could see what he wants to see and never consider looking for another angle to verify it. That would make his use of the video embarrassingly dumb instead of embarrassingly dumb and dishonest. There's no way to get around this looking bad and I'll be surprised if Sarah Huckabee hasn't resigned by December.

The level of hypocrisy is staggering. I will come to the defense of some on the left side of things though: there's no chance any of their news sources ever reported this, so they don't know they're being hypocritical.
