Interesting that they let Duvy become a FA. Wonder if this means they’re thinking that the NL won’t have a DH this year
 
Dumping Duvall only makes sense if AA is looking to add an impact bat in LF. I didn't think there was much of a chance they let him go honestly, but maybe AA has the resources to really upgrade the lineup.

Keeping Camargo was a bit of a surprise to me. His contract is not guaranteed, so if a better utility option comes along he is likely gone.

I fully expected AA to keep Dayton.

Jackson's contract is surprising to me since he took a step back in the statcast measurables (which was his main selling point). Like Camargo, he can be dumped if a better option presents itself.

I have the current 2021 projected opening day payroll at $110M with holes in LF, bench SS, and bench OF/DH. If they run a payroll of $140M+ AA has tons of cash left.

Could we be looking at Springer? Letting Duval walk doesn’t make a lot of sense bc we could have gotten a good lefty to platoon with him. Seems like something bigger.
 
Maybe springer is in play. That or some potential trade guys.

Maybe he knows the DH is not coming and Ozuna will he playing a full time role. Who knows
 
I'm not sure how you let Duvall walk unless you have something bigger in mind for that position. I guess that's exciting?

Yeah GMs may be getting word the DH won’t be here in 2021. If Ozuna will be in the OF full time then the bench will need a big piece added imo.
 
Or maybe we have something cooking at 3rd and Riley to LF with a platoon guy. But the Schwarber getting released tells me the DH is going to be a no for the NL.

Turner at third on a one-year deal would be a very AA move. Riley to left for one season, then back to third when Waters is ready. Another possibility is a trade for Gallo. I think the lineup could use another lefty bat.

Dahl getting non-tendered is a surprise. I’ve always kind of liked him, just can’t stay healthy. Believe he’s also from Alabama so maybe he would want to come home if we have the money? Give him the Markakis role.

At this point literally every FA bat is in play I think.

Adding Brantley for LF, Cruz at DH, and Turner at 3b is even in the realm of possibility with a $150M payroll. I usually scoff at such ideas, but it’s at least slightly plausible this year.

AA seems to be working with a higher payroll then we all thought with the uncertainty of fans next year so they may see the window and wanna go for it. It won’t surprise me either way but I think he brings in 2 hitters.

Braves will consider re-signing outfielder Adam Duvall, who became a free agent after the team non-tendered him today. Without an assurance of a DH in the National League, club wants to stay flexible in LF.
 
If there’s a DH, give me Springer, Turner and Melancon and let’s ride.
