Suggest you do some fact checking. Soroka went down in mid June of 2018 with shoulder fatigue. Might not qualify as an "injury" but still counted as lost season. Being as you are an adult apparently then unable to count to three is what is the terrible take here.
Handling a rookie that was 21 with kid gloves while maintaining that year of control is not a detriment to the pitcher. Saying that year was not exceptional implies it was not good and that is t true. He was just put on the shelve to be extra careful. If you want to say that extending soroka this soon because of his injury history, then I would agree. I mean his injury history and buying out 4 years of control could get you 2 years of FA for pretty cheap but I still wouldn’t argue with that stance.
