Nice ebitda jumps in the first year. Battery is how much completed? Braves are doing just fine. Now they need to start winning and the cash is going to pour in.

It's amazing this little trick MLB owners have pulled on local fans where they yearn for a situation where they would have to spend more money to watch their team play.

That will definitely wear but the structure of the new ball park leads itself to massive increases in revenues. Its a whole different animal now.

I do believe the Braves are going to start winning this season (I said that last year) and along with the future development of the battery and Cobb County in general will lead to continuing profits far in excess of what they would have had at Turner Field.

Kinda used to this crap now after the NCAA drug their feet for years trying their *amndest to pin something on the Heels before finally having to admit that they weren't doing anything EVERYBODY ELSE DOES (and has been for years) TOO. Everybody breaks the letter of the laws if not the spirit.

Just kinda numb to this *hit at this point.

Not to completely derail this..... but seriously?? UNC got let off the hook. If that was a school like Iowa you really think the outcome would have been the same?

Translation: Gordon Blakely gave us a ton of new leads to check out after our meeting this week. Give us a few weeks more to investigate.

Remember when Hart was declared safe? Betcha Coppy and Blakely pooled evidence together to throw the whole organization under the bus. I'm expecting worse-case now.
 
Hart is a goner, methinks. Just not tenable to renew his contract (even if McGuirk wants to) now that this is in the public sphere,

While a report in late October quoted anonymous sources saying Hart had been essentially cleared by MLB, subsequent developments called that premise into question. A person close to the situation said at least one Braves employee who was with the team during the time the alleged infractions informed MLB that Hart knew what Coppolella was doing on the international free-agent market and didn’t just ignore it but approved of it.

It’s not known when MLB will announce its findings and levy discipline, but the Braves are expected to face severe penalties that could include fines, the loss of future draft picks and the loss of players, if it’s deemed that rules were broken in the signing or drafting of those players.
 
DOB had the scoop on the exact day of Blakely's second meeting. Then a day after that meeting, he gets this scoop. Seems that Blakely or his rep is feeding this to DOB. Puts Hart and Braves in terrible spot just days before GM meetings. Karma.

It’s abundantly clear who should be the choice here. Anthopoulos would be an amazing hire that would justify this whole ordeal even if we lost Maitan. Hendry on the other hand feels like going back in a time machine.

It actually doesn't make sense to hire a GM then hire a president. The order should be reversed with the new president given the opportunity to hire a GM.
