I mean someone who feeds the poor, gives health care to the sick, and says it would be impossible for a rich person to go to heaven.

The truth he told was about the terrible working conditions in the factories and mines of the day and the practically starvation wages they got paid for it. 100% misery reduction for whom? Here are a couple of terms for you to Google if you so choose, "Lunch Pail Fathers", "Breaker Boys".

Are you talking about something I said? If not then sorry I misunderstood. As for communism sometimes being right, are you talking about the monstrosity that took place in Russia, China, Vietnam, Cuba, Cambodia, etc., during the 20th year (which was always wrong) or the one example of actual communism that took place that actually did work and work well, though to be fair it was in a very small area and wouldn't work on a nationwide scale.

He says to sell all you own and follow him, to do for the downtrodden, but he never says to take from others.

For the record I support a much stronger safety net and extreme taxation of extreme wealth, that's why I hype the American Solidarity Party so much. I just don't think Christ's teachings demand that. He demands that those people be generous.

sturg believes those people just didnt' want it bad enough. Their misery was their own fault, they didn't need work safety laws or minimum wage laws, or the right to unionize, it's just thier own lack of motivation for upwards mobility. He'd never work for under 7 dollars an hour.

He also said render unto Caesar what is his (paraphrasing) so obviously he doesn't have issues with Government taxation.

You're an idiot.

I worked several jobs for less than $7 an hour under the table. Worked minimum wage at target for years. Learned skills. Learned how to communicate. Learned how to manage different personalities. Worked since I was 13 and all through college. Now I'm in a well paid management role. Most anyone CAN do this... but it does take some effort, discipline, and suffering along the way.
