^^^ Which one has he not broken?

Which ones have any of us not broken for that matter?
A bunch of them, according to my interpretation. Anything that happened before 20, I have forgiven myself for.

And the one about taking his name in vain shouldn't be in the top ten, anyway, I mean Jeez.

Jeez dude, you went a LLLLOOOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGG way to come up with that one. :)

I believe the two mentioned specifically were Jesus (all good, no bad) and Herod (all sucky, no redeeming qualities except he apparently had really cool hair and a super looking beard)

Not especially. This was the message being shared in many churches across the South. I know that at the very least. It's the response I got from many friends and family at home when I asked how they could justify certain elements of their vote.

Jesus was a drunkard and hung with prostitutes and other sundry unsavories. He also had a special relationship with tax collectors.

Herod is an odd comparison because all I can remember him doing in the Bible is slaughtering children. In reality, history reveals him to be a successful tyrant.

And we've all broken every one of them by the Sermon on the Mount's explication.

Oh, and how witty of you to break the 3rd with a minced oath.

Maybe, I was actually just trying to help him out on getting at least 1/10. No point in piling on.

Absolutely is a point - and here, I'm being serious. There's the common and deadly (imho) view of sin as being outward breaking of the commandments (e.g., physically-literally murdering someone) where as the simply stated commandments, as Christ taught, require outward and inward conformity. They call for act, word, thought compliance. They forbid certain acts, words, thoughts. And by implication require the opposing acts, words, and thoughts. The point being - we all violated the Law - in thought, word and deed - in acts of commission and omission. And to know that is vital - if we are to ever see a need for salvation.

Unfortunately, most take the commandments (or even a personal variant of some of them) and think, "Ah, I guess I do pretty decently - especially compared to (and you pick the slob you'd like)." And go on our merry, self-righteous way.

But our "righteousness" is as menstrual rags...

Thankfully, there is someone who's compliance is perfect, whose righteousness is flawless. There is someone who bore the penalty for my law-breaking in my place. He's the One I need and the only One I want to put my trust in. You see, I'm not like Trump, I know my sins too well. I know my need of forgiveness.

Blessings friend.

Trump could actually take the Republican party to the left. He doesn't care about the party platform and Republicans are lemmings who will justify anything Trump does. He could launch Trumpcare by photocopying the Obamacare bill and Republicans will act like it's the greatest thing since Betty White.

everything that has been talked about it from them thus far

it all seems to be that all they are going to do is stop calling ACA Obamacare

I don't track Obamacare sign up but that doesn't seem like a lot to me. Is that figure the total the gross number that signed up or a net gain of people on Obamacare?

Should we assume that everyone that has or gets Obamacare likes it? I would assume every year would see a lot of new sign ups as kids grow up and have to get their own.

I will pose the same question to you Sturg had no answer for.

Play Devils Advocate and sell me on the policy--
just to show you understand what it all entails

I can respect people being against it.
But at least understand what it is you disagree with.
Calling me names merely proves you have no idea what it is you are against

We can safely assume there is some portion of ACA everyone "likes"
We can also assume there are potions people don't "like"

WTF does "like " have to do with it ???
I like Ravioli, wine and chocolate cake.
People need health care access
What a stupid question
