I think Sam Elliot should become the official voice of the United States. Not necessarily what is said, but how it is delivered. Calm, straightforward, and assertive without being threatening. Every time I hear a "Beef. It's What's for Dinner" commercial, I want to go out and buy a truckload of steaks.

Yes, the voice does it, but the setting has to be intimate, like those bar scenes in The Big Lebowsky. I can't see him doing well behind a podium.
