NASA has been on Mars and beyond Mars long before Elon.

Let's not also forget Elon has received billions in Government subsidies for SpaceX as well...

Kind of goes against what you stand for.

A few points here

1. Spacex has gotten about $20M from Texas in exchange for building their launch pad there (I do not support that... but it's not a difference maker to what the company does)

2. SpaceX has won about $5B in government contracts from Nasa.... that's not the same as subsidies - and you know this

So I'm not really sure what you're arguing other than trying to give government credit for something a private company did significantly better, faster, and cheaper

Who subsidizes NASA?

NASA is a federal government agency, which means by default you're against it. In your eyes whats a $5b contract from NASA if NASA is funded by taxpayers anyways? Federal waste in your eyes.

I'm not taking credit away. I just find it amusing you don't hesitate to post memes about something that caters to your politics. It also points to how ignorant you are of what NASA has accomplished for America.
 
Nobody is denying what NASA has done for the world but the question is would private enterprise have done it cheaper and faster? I think we have extensive evidence to support that notion.

Being a doctor doesnt make you right about everything or even smart. For example, Ben Carson. Heck, Roy Moore graduated from law school and he is a blithering idiot. I think GWB graduated from Yale while doing all kinds of drugs and few if anyone ever accused him of being smart.

Statistically speaking 1 school shooting a day in a country this size is insignificant. How many peoples rights are you going to take away to attempt to stop this? How many people are going to be imprisoned to attempt to stop this? Somewhere out there are more than one kid jerking off to this media coverage fantasizing about the day he will be plastered all over TV for shooting up a school. The copycat effect is going strong and no amount of bans are going to stop it. It will stop when the national media stop covering them. So never.
