That's not a bad thing for sure, I have an AR, a "Circuit Judge (ever hear of that one?) half a dozen pistols, a deer rifle (not sure exactly what to call it) and about a half dozen shotguns. For Christmas I got a new .22 caliber rifle that actually looks like the AR rifle style and 2 25 shot clips.
I'm not saying you're wrong, it's just that the caliber of the bullets isn't all that important, unless you're shooting at something way far away from you. My standard response when someone thinks my choice of .22 caliber weapons for most uses is "OK, let me empty my clip/magazine, etc., into you and if you aren't dead then you can shoot me with any sized gun you want, even a Howitzer or Rocket Launcher. I guess the bottom line is that is more or less a "Ford vs. Chevy" type of thing. I could be wrong though.

The deer rifle has a caliber cartridge it will fire. That’s what to call it offhand.
No -at that range you’d want stopping power. The .45 acp is generally considered the king. At that range and with a live animal you may only get one shot in the vitals. The type of bullet matters just as much too though
Most people up the caliber bullet by the size game they are after. Elk, caribou, sheep, African game (Buffalo needing a considerable upsize) all need a larger caliber bullet for a clean kill. You may only get one shot, so it matters very much over quantity.
For that wolf - A shotgun with buckshot would be the preference over everything there because of the wider pattern AND stopping power

Meh. She's a side character so not that big of a deal to the show. Don't agree with her being fired though.
But those people are saying dumb things that liberals believe so that's okay. If she would have been making fun of religion instead of preferred pronouns or said blacks are being treated like Jews during the holocaust instead of political views she would have kept her job.
