DC is like 95% Dem right?

We are talking about the NY case. The recent 2022 Governors race was 53 dem vs 47 Rep. And I am expected to believe a man who claims the vast majority of Americans support him cant get a fair trial in NY with an almost 50/50 split. Remember, this is a guy who believes Fox News is biased against Republicans.

I think garmel has been mocked for talking about the bias with DC juries. and simple math would say he has a point.

if I'm accused of a gun possession crime in DC, I'm a lot more likely to be convicted there than I would be in Boerne, TX... despite my action being constitutionally protected

Juries dont vote on constitutionality of things. The consitution means whatever anyone wants it to mean. Some think it means we can inmprison people for not using preffered pronouns. Others think it means non Christians dont have rights. Some think it just doesnt even apply to them. If your point is that people reach whatever conclusion they want and then work to justify it using the constitution then you would be correct. That has nothing to do with any of this though.

If a jury/judge misapplies the law or constitution, there is a right to appeal whatever the jurisdiction. The ultimate court of appeal is the Supreme Court, which currently is dominated by six conservative justices. All six appointed by Republican presidents. Three by very poorly chosen one.

the idea that a resident in DC should take solace in the fact that if 12 liberal idiots convicted him he could always appeal it all the way to the Supreme Court is lunacy

Exactly. The problem is that the appeals process can be costly so most people can't do it.

If you can't do the time don't do the crime. A black person doesn't want an all white jury. I particularly wouldn't want religious people on mine. We don't get what we want either.

Right but an insurrection to a leftist is also a peaceful protest to that same leftist depending on what the cause is for

Does anyone know the name of 57’s employer so I can report this to them?

As much as I like him, it’s not okay that a human with this type of behavior be allowed to interact with others or earn a living wage.
