MIDSEASON TOP 30 PROSPECTS -- REVISED!

Holy crap! On Aug. 4, I scanned the midseason list and found out that eight of them are on the DL. I knew Sobotka would probably not play, but the other seven have gone down since I posted the list!

And, of course, Caratini was traded. With the arrival of Albies and Dykstra, we need to retool the list. I will have it by Sept. 1st.

As confident as I am in TLS doing well, I'm almost as confident that this is all a mirage from Gosselin. He's similar offensively in a skillset to like a Adeiny Hechavvarria or Zach Cozart. Guys who walk under 5% of the time and K over 15% of the time usually don't make good hitters. Certainly not when compared to TLS who walks as much if not more than he K's. BB rate and K rate are 2 stats that aren't looked at enough.

Gosselin could still improve the bench. Nice to see two young 2b come up and have some success. Even better they hit from opposite sides. I smell a platoon.

Gosselin is a super util guy. Slightly better than a bench player but not good enough to be an everday guy. You need those types of players on your team.
