Minor League Thread Part Deux

Eh...there's a love fest going on with Gil..deservedly so I guess, but his actions at short are meh. He's a "get to the ball" I'm supposed to guy. I've never been overly excited about his range, but he's quick and has good twitch. Maybe? But I was OK with him at 3rd. His bat and that speed will be his calling card though.
I’ll defer to your superior observations on his defensive play thus far. Nevertheless, I think with a kid that young, you let him see if he can improve his defensive actions (especially given his top-tier speed and good arm), and then move him off later if it comes to that. Miller, meanwhile, is more of a known quantity with the glove, so I’d rather challenge his bat and simultaneously clear defensive innings for Gil.

You're definitely not wrong. I've got Gil fatigue...but that's my fault. Ambioris is no longer prospect worthy but he can straight pick it at SS. I judge others against him. Gil is not a bad SS. To your point...I'd like to see more of him at SS. He oozes potential, but his bat has come so far, I'm not dinging him for any fielding questions I may have. Next year...I'm over the moon excited about my visits to the parks. There is talent on the way.

I’m irrationally devastated by Tavarez’s fading prospects, because he has an incandescent, platinum-grade first-name, and I was hoping if he made MLB I could find out how he ended up named after a first-century BC Gaulish hero, “prince of the Eburones,” and national hero of Belgian resistance against Caesar and Roman imperialist expansion.

And, after all that discussion re clearing reps for Gil, it looks like the bump for Miller most likely has as much to do with Southisene being activated:

We have activated INF Tate Southisene and RHP Jaylen Paden to the roster!

They will both make their professional debuts at SRP Park this week. pic.twitter.com/JyuIYtzF64
