Minor League Thread Part Deux

Not sure if it's 100% final, but the FCL roster has been updated since yesterday and looks like it's a full roster: https://www.milb.com/florida-complex/roster/464.

The big three names are obvious - Luke Sinnard will open there in a rehab stint. But the two big younger guys are 2025 4th rounder LHP Briggs McKenzie and OF Diego Tornes. Excited to see how they do.

They start on Saturday at 10 a.m.

all three of those guys are high on my radar. They officially moved Sinnard to the pen?

Raudy Reyes, Rayven Antonio, and Michael Martinez could be interesting follows as well.

Kiley McDaniel updated his top 10 for all teams today. Here's his Braves rankings:

Caminiti
Fuentes
Ritchie
Southisene
Murphy
McKenzie
Lodise
Tornes
Gil
Sinnard

Southisene and Murphy flip flopped from his preseason ranks. Lodise went from outside his top 10 to 7, Gil went from outside his top 10 to 9.

My trivial gripe:

I just find it crazy that Kiley still ranks a struggling A+ pitcher above Ritchie and Fuentes. I am not really down on Caminiti, but it's just a fact that Ritchie and Fuentes are better prospects right now given their success in the upper minors and mild success in the majors. If Cam were dominating A+ ball and moving further up the prospect rankings, I could see it. But he's not.

And the lack of recognition on Gil is silly too. He is quite easily going to be a top consensus top 100 prospect by mid-season if he continues to hit this well. Lodise hasn't realy done anything to warrant moving up the rankings.

Agree with all of this.

What’s not to like with Gil at this point?
