Minor league thread

It appears that they're starting to stretch Kingham out a little - his last three starts have been his longest outings of the season. Still hasn't gone more than 4 innings though.

Not sure how things are going to be juggled in Mississippi, but Grissom needs a new challenge - .303/.390/.472/.862 with his 10th bomb during his 3-3 effort today. 51 RBI and 52 runs scored in 66 games.

Dansby replacement?

There is no replacing the Little King.

I feel my stress rate has gone down the last few weeks, not seeing Albies pop up on the first pitch or strike out on a ball in the dirt, after the pitcher walked the previous two batters.

Is the stress rate worth the commensurable drop in joy rate? There is no joy in Arcia.

Grissom just singled in game two of the double header. His on-base streak is now up to 30 games.

One thing Arcia has going for him is he has a throwing arm.

He can complete the double play. Whereas Ozzie has that long 3/4 throwing motion that feels Iike it takes forever.

Matzek went 1 inning where he struck out all 3 hitters on 11 pitches. I think he's ready.

Alex is going to have to find SOME WAY to get Snitker to break his "code" and only use Smith in low-leverage situations soon. The number of bullpen arms you can trust more than Smith in close games is now up to five - Minter, Chavez, Lee, McHugh, and Stephens - and once Jansen, Matzek, and Yates are activated there's a legitimate argument to be made that Smith doesn't even belong on the team.

Wait. What. Smith is still a good pen guy. Just at this point he needs to be used more sporadically. Not everyday.
